I did my bootstripe & deckstripe in vinyl back in 2002. 6 years later it still looks pretty good but there are a few nicks in the bootstripe, probably from sticks in the water. If you trailer the boat you might prefer paint but if it is slipped all the time vinyl is the bomb.

Is the boat an I/O or V-drive or Straight drive? My 30'er is straight drives with those engines. Prop size is 18X17 & max rpm is 4200. Your max rpm should be the same as mine but I would imagine your pitch is gonna be more & the diameter may be smaller if you have I/O's
