Yeah, the Tiara/Pursuit 3800 is at the top of my list, and budget... Taking out the seats on the 380 etc is definitely an option for me if it is even possible. Realistically I'll probably fish it with any seriousness only 4-5 times per year anyhow so I wouldn't mind having to remove some...
Hows the maintenance on them? I did pretty much everything on my 8.1's and would like to be able to do the same this go around. I realize certain things like valve adjustments are better left for the pros but I don't mind getting dirty. Care to share a rough estimate of what your annual...
Thanks, I'm researching them more now and it seems that most people refer to their issues from back in the early 90's when there were a handful of "soft blocks". Reading about them on THT gives an anxiety equivalent of looking up symptoms on WebMD...
I guess I need to rephrase my needs a bit. As nice as the master stateroom is on a motor yacht, it's just not us. We all really like outdoor space and I just can't see myself leaving the slip too often in a boat like that, looks a bit intimidating to handle for two people. We were out every day...
Well, its been a little over 7 years since selling our 03 340DA, a pretty lackluster 7 years I must say. Selling it was definitely bittersweet but it also has given us time to consider what we really enjoyed doing with our free time. Ultimately, I'd rather pack up and move west for 10yrs or so...
It's busy in there usually with skiers and wake boarders and therefore the water is kinda murky. It is fun to explore the rifts though. The last time I dropped anchor in lake of the isles (several years ago) it didn't take long for others to follow suit and quickly form a boat party so we left...
The 06' 260 I had on a tri axle alum trailer weighed in over 11k on CAT scales. I don't remember the exact numbers as it was 6 yrs ago but that was loaded for a 2 week trip with all tanks close to empty. Also had a genset and bow thruster each with their own battery, she was a heavy pig. I...
I bet if you pull the plugs on that engine you'll find one that's fouled slightly or maybe even wet. Mine did the exact same thing to the T and it was an injector that quit firing above a certain rpm. It was not noticeable at all at idle and up to planing speed.
I'm not sure if they can hold a 330 or not but Old Ferry marina is a decent place and the owners were very nice to talk with each time we went to check the place out. The others in the area are more known for their fuel pricing than their dockage because its very limited.
Harbour Village in...
It looks to me like the best part of you ran down the crack of your mama's ass and ended up as a brown stain on the mattress.

By far the best airline I ever flew on was XpressJet, but they're gone now.
Anyone else ever been on a flight that bounced upon landing? I flew into SLC a few years ago, at the last second the plane...
Next time try bio clean, should be about 8 bucks at any glass shop.

Since the boats gone, the parts are no longer needed. They are all new in the box and Merc brand. They were for my 03 340 with 8.1VD
Heres what I have left with part #'s
Stringer mounted inline fuel filter Merc # 35-864572 $30.00
Water Pressure sensor Merc # 881879011 $65.00

Last year, Marine Max had an arch listed on ebay from a 2000 340. It was on there for months. I'm guessing the insurance co. has already looked for one but it may be worth a call to see if its still available. IIRC, it was a MM out west.
Sorry to hear about your boat.
Here's my opinion on Jordan Lake
Every year, the public access points are closed due to bacteria for at least a week or more. Plus, the city of Durham puts their wastewater into the lake. Town of Cary get their drinking water from it though so it must be OK  I'm not putting my kids in...
Exactly. The dealer or whoever used cheap vinyl numbers, probably mailbox #'s, from Home Depot and the gelcoat has absorbed some of the glue and pigment of the vinyl. Every single small fishing boat I have ever bought has had exactly the same issue because of cheap lettering. Acetone first...
