I used to have a 74’ 240 with the twin 165’s. The engines are pretty common. Might be able to find a couple used engines cheap. Mine had good engines but I just got tired of the smaller boat. I really like to 300 weekender much better.
I probably can get a brochure for a 1976. I have 2 of them currently. One my Dad purchased new in 1976. I have one that is restored that I use. Awesome boats.
If anyone ever needs these it took me a looong time to find them. BUT!! Success!! Wefco made me some for $2 a foot. Exact fit for my 1976 SRV 300 with TaylorMade Windows is circled in red!
Those are hard to find. Most of the ones in the junkyards are picked over or broken too. I would be interested in buying some too if you find someone to print them.
Good to see a 240 getting redone. I had one with twin 165's for about 10 years. I put a ton of work into her and eventually decided I really wanted a srv 300. Good luck this summer.
i have a 1976 300 weekender that I bought last year. When I bought it it had the bottom painted over a barrier coat. Before I put it in this year I noticed a few cracks showing through the paint. I had the yard fiberglass guy look at it and he suggested blasting the paint off to get a look...
