Sorry to see the damage. We're upstream from you on Watt's Bar lake at Caney Creek Marina. Luckily no real damage here. Hope all made it without bodily injury.
Yeah I'm sure.. We went through the Bravo 1 vs. Bravo II with replacing the prop. I went with the information from Sea Ray that she has the Bravo II. You should have seen my face when I tried to fit that prop. I came back to this forum and the only thing that we can figure is that maybe...
In the near future I will be making arrangements to pull our 91' 270da out of the water to have the outdrive serviced. The lower unit is in pretty bad shape and needs replaced. Question; Will any year Bravo one lower unit fit and function or do I need to be year or group of years specific...
Thanks Eric. I think we've got it figured out. It's looking like my '91 has the Bravo 1. I took the new prop back (Took the old one with me) and Harbortowne Marine happen to have the prop I now need in 19 pitch (Aluminum). Then he remembered that he had a Mirage 19. After a bit of "negotiating"...
Bought our Sundancer at the end of last season (stays in water). I realized that the prop was junk and needed to replace it. All signs pointed to the '91 is with a Bravo 2 outdrive so I hunted for a prop in the 17.75X23 range. I bought the prop and pulled the boat into shallow water to find a...
I'm with Hack in that I run a starter battery with a deep cell. Have a 800 cca starter and a group 31 deep. Both Deka.. But definitely pay attention to which battery you're on when anchored for the weekend.
No No... Thanks for the response. My 270da is set the same way except for the hatch. I'm searching for a way to do an AC unit without going with the full marine unit. I would still need a way to dissipate heat. On shore power, but have generator too. Oh well, but again, thanks for the response..
Ditto with Lazy Daze. My F150 picked up noticeable power with the CIA/exhaust package. One is pretty much meaningless with out the other. It's a good base mod. If you choose to... a lot of other mods can be done as well. All bolt on stuff.
I also own a 91' 270 da. I installed a 750 BoatSafe heater in the engine compartment. BoatSafe allows you to install the heater in pretty much any position. My rig is a single engine so I have plenty of room. I have my heater positioned on the starboard side of the engine. This gives me the...
Thanks for the replies. I'm with you Quint4. Hose comes off the bottom. I'll confirm the route of the hose. I'll have to crawl down in there deeper. The reservoir is not empty, just about 2 inches below the fill mark. Hey JimG, I have my trim tab system figured out. I appreciate the response to...
