Hello Club Sea Ray members. Does anyone have the MeyerMRC - MRC-CTS-101D toolset and interested in selling or renting? I have been looking to buy, but Meyer tool will not have any for a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Well I completed the task with a friends help toward the end. One road block after another. I called Sea Ray when the 1 13/16 didn't make it down to the nut. They said to use a thin wall socket and also confirmed 1 13/16. After a ton of grinding and now the proud owner of a thin wall 1 13/16...
Thank you very much Pete and Frank - It looks like the nut is inset into the coupler. Can the coupler slide down the shaft to expose the nut once it is separated from the engine?
Thanks again -
Hi - first time post for me. I unbolted the shaft coupling to my 3116TA as I need to replace a shaft seal. After separating from the engine, there is the nut that holds the shaft to the coupling. Does anyone know what the nut size is or if there is a special socket for that?
Thank you.
Hello,
I need a microphone for my Ray 215 VHF. Does anyone have one or does anyone know what connector is required to plug into the connector on the radio? I can then use a different mic and re-wire.
Thanks, Rob
Update:
- both fuel pumps work when powered when pulled from circuit and powered with 12V.
- Swapped Port engine computer - does same thing.
- Swapped out fuel pump fuse, does same thing.
- Poured some fuel down throttle body and motor fires, but will not run.
- moved throttle to half/full...
Ok fuel pump not pumping. Voltage only rises to 8 volts when I turn the ignition. When I connect operating engine fuel connect to pump it works. Output voltage ~12v. Anyone know what can cause this?
Thanks SeaRide. I tried to start at half throttle, still nothing.
I am packing for the marina now.
JerseyMike, thanks, will be checking for spark as well. I also have an OBDC II diagnostic checker for my cars. I think that may plug into the module... see what that comes back with.
Thank you. I tried the next day after sitting all night....nothing. I am thinking fuel pump bad, will check voltage to unit. Not sure if the IAC, which I have read about locks out fuel pump operation or not.
Hello, new to forum this morning. Just bought a 2000 290 Amberjack with about 230 hours. Changed oil, fuel filters etc. Had a great day on the water, both engines ran and started fine. Next time out, again, both started and ran fine.
While out the second time, stopped and anchored for a while...
