I have a 97 210, I ordered a replacement thru a Sea Ray dealer. Part # 881318, is what that is and is no longer available, I had to get the updated part #1462357. I haven't received it yet, I'm hoping it will fit the same way.
Sorry to hear you are leaving NC. We've been down here 6 years, from PA originally, (south of allentown). I have no interest in going back. Anyway, we used to go to Raystown and camp out for a couple weeks at a time. It's a real nice lake, I think you will like it.
dicor has it right. It's to keep any dirty oily water from entering the locker, just in case something happens while underway. I forget to put mine in most times and if I put it in I forget to take it out, sometimes.
You should be able to get it here. http://www.ggschmitt.com/ This is the manufacture for the ladders, I just got a new one for my boat from them. They had a 2-3 week lead time on them. It was half the price than getting it from a dealer.
Put them just below the rub rail and start the numbers about the middle of your spare tire. That's where I have mine and have never been bothered on Lake Norman. They are very visible when you are on the water in that location.
I have the same type, but mine have the white plastic hanger, they work good. I want to change them over to the all stainless(like pictured) since they lock in.
I started using Quickare fuel treatment by Mercury, with every fill up this year. I just started using non ethanol premium last week, but I still add the Quickare.
My 210 has the same set up, but there was fabric under the plastic cover so the water would not run into the horn. The material that they used rotted away, so I used a piece of house wrap under the cover, works great.
Does anybody use Quickare by Mercury? My neighbor has a boat repair shop and recomends it. I started using it a few weeks ago and so far I have had no problems.
My neighbor would like to get a 15 gallon tank on wheels for her husbands b-day. He is tired of using 5 gal cans to refuel the boat at his dock. Does anybody use one they like or have any recommendations. Thanks
