I'm going to say this but most will not like it is my guess. Put this POS engine in the dumpster and get a rebuilt or running takeout 496mag, put it in and go boating. I would imagine at this point this whole boat thing really sucks and is no fun. Replace and forget.

You will be best with a fork lift. That was my other option. I borrowed one to remove that engine but looked at renting a lift. It was kinda expensive for the time I needed to put it back in so for for 300 bucks I built that.

You can build something like this but the width will be the issue. That is 12ft wide. Standard lowes wood. Lol stood in the isle at the store planning it out in my head while my wife looked at me like I was crazy. Took about 30 minutes and I said ok I got it let's get the material. Need this...
