I have SeaRay 410DA and have been using my marina to winterize the fresh water system however I would like to do myself. I think the process is to completely drain water tank, drain the water heater, bypass it, put Pink in the tank (not sure how many gallons) run all taps and heads until steady...
I have the electrical box as shown on my cat 3116 engines. Sometimes after I do a slow speed cruise and shut the engine off, it will not start. I do hear a click when I engage the start switch. The last time it happened I blew cool air in the box and then it started so it is some component...
I decided to bypass the Racor and that solved the problem, engine runs fine. I will be installing a complete new racor 500ma - but I am at a loss to understand why something as simple as a filter housing could cause the problem. The only conclusion is that there is a hairline crack in the...
I replaced the sync module, problem solved. I was hoping to get more than 1 1/2 years from a module (replaced last year) but I guess not. Thanks to all for suggestions
Believe me, at this point I consider no suggestion as silly, I have exhausted almost all my ideas. Thanks, yes I checked that nut quite carefully. I think my next step is going to be to bypass the racor completely and see if I can get the engine to run. I do have a concern that the crossover...
I considered the pick up line as a potential problem. However, I can blow back through it and hear the air coming in the tank as well as come out the tank vent. Do you think that eliminates the possibility or does your experience say different. Removing the pick up line on my tank looks next to...
I am experiencing a problem in getting fuel to the port engine on my year 2000 SR410DA. My system has Racor 500MA filters, one for each 3116 Cat diesel engine. I also have fuel selector valves where I can switch from port to starboard tank for each engine.
When the port engine is started with...
Rick:
I spotted your post when looking for a solution to my problem. I have the same boat you, assume he same factory set up. Here's the deals, both tachs seem to be right on, however the sync gauge does not function properly. This came on all of a sudden with no apparent cause. When I start the...
Re: Hydraulic Lift Platform on SR410DA - UPDATE
Nightmare.....
I have finally completed the repairs and the platform is raising properly. This however did not happen without a great deal of stress and 2 pulls by my marina. Eric at Nautical Structures was very helpful through the process...
Thanks John:
Actually switching the lines was quite easy. I switched them where they come through the transom which was much easier than tracing and working in the tight area around the pump. Only had to catch a couple drops of oil. I have not yet checked the pressure but have new cylinders on...
Thank John:
What you're saying makes sense. Eric as NS said the switch the lines - Port to Starboard, Starboard to Port - and if the Starboard side continued with same problem it would be the cylinder and not the manifold. However if the pressure equalizes between the two ramps as you explained...
The folks at Florida Bow Thrusters and Nautical Structures were very helpful in trouble shooting the problem. It is definitely a cylinder problem - requiring replace or repair. Eric at NS said I could pull the cylinders and take to a shop for repairs but he also mentioned some cutting and...
There are no leaks anywhere in the system. I have been able to identify the system as a Nautical Lift. From what I can tell that is good news since TNT seems to be very troublesome.
i have same symptoms you had, will raise without load. The starboard side has always been a little slower but I...
Thanks, yes the batteries are at full charge. There is additional weight on the starboard side due to the outboard motor on the dinghy. I have davits made for the (v bottom) dinghy so reversing it is not an option. Given that the platform will go all the way up without the dinghy, reversing it...
I have a 2000 Sea Ray 410 with a Hydraulic swim platform on which I park my dinghy. The lift is rated at 800# and the dinghy weighs in at 550# with motor.
The lift had been working fine up until I launched the boat this year after winter storage. While the lift does raise completely without the...
I have a SR410 and I think the water tank is in the same location as yours, under the V birth. My boat is a 2000 and the tank has never leaked until this season, after winter storage. The tank was properly winterized and drained so I am not concerned it is a freeze break. Also the leak seems to...
I am experiencing a problem with the remote control unit for my swim platform. Does anyone know where I could obtain a replacement? Batteries are good, it is the down function that does not work reliably.
I would assume (but not sure) there would have to be a frequency match and I have no idea...
I am fortunate to have a local company that builds these custom covers. Although they are not cheap they are much better than shrink wrap. Payback on cover over shrink wrap is less than 3 years. I am in the process of having a cover made for my 410DA, which I expect to be about $2500-$3000. The...
The picture isn't the best but if you look close you can see how far down it goes. It covers below the water line on stern and sides, with just a little of the bottom exposed at the bow. It does completely cover the swim platform.
I have a custom winter storage cover for a Sea Ray 280 Sundancer. The cover was used for 2 winters and was custom built by a local convas shop. The cover is in excellent condition, no rips or tears.
Cost new $1,800, asking $1,000
