Yeah, that's how I justified to myself was by saying "thank goodness I am a mechanic and can do all my own work" =)
The 27 or 32 pachangas are nice, but the hull efficiency on the heat is much much better. It is a single step hull, and surprisingly only weighs 4900lbs. The single engine makes...
Well gents and ladies, I am in the process of selling my Pachanga. My wife wanted something larger, I wanted something faster. So I bought a new boat. I bought a Nordic Heat 28' with a Mercury Racing 500EFI, Bravo1X outdrive, trim tabs, hydraulic steering and all. Enjoying it very much so far...
Pachanga owners like to show them off I have noticed :)
This is the first one I have owned, but my parents had the same boat when I was a teenager, only difference was blue versus red :) Only issue I have had was neglect on the POs part. Too much salt and not enough maintenance, but I took...
I know it is my boat and I can do as I please, but I do take the opinions of those such as you fine fellows into account, so I will have to see how I feel when I get home. Thanks a lot guys!
Thanks guys for all input. I think all the tinkering with the ideas of changing things up is the boredom and the longing for home :( No matter what though the windshield is getting done for sure :) There are a few spots on the hull that bother me and I want to have them fixed up. The chrome on...
Hey guys. I know this is not going to appeal to a lot of you. I am toying with the idea of getting some work done on the appearance of the Pachanga. I love the offshore look, but cant afford the offshore boat. The Pachanga is about as close as I am going to get anytime soon. Here is a picture...
I have one that I use for my Pachanga, can be a bit hard to install alone, but when it is up, it works great. Keep the temp down. I never use it when underway at all though.
Right now I voted for the everything but fiberglass work. Not because I cant, but because I have never tried it :) When I get home I will try that out.
The Pachanga is a center rise exhaust.
Hard to see the routings, but its there. lol. The way its routed in the Changa, it goes out the exhaust, to a 90* elbow, down a length of the engine bay, another 90* to a 45* coupling that sits on the fiberglass of the exhaust outlet. The bottom 1/2"...
I have a "thru-hull" setup with the Pachanga (removed the can mufflers) and let me tell you, it is loud. Dual 4" out the back. Sounds good, but is definitely louder :) What cam did you choose?
Went out today with my friends and my dad to the lake. Dad played hookey, the rest of us are on vacation (getting ready to deploy next week :( ). Here are some pics of the ole Pachanga after I cleaned her up some. Dad has more pics of the goings-on of the day and will get those up as soon as I...
Ah, my bad :) I dont generally touch the engine if at all possible, and the thermostat housing is on that list of things I have not touched. Sorry about that mate.
