It seems that that before I got the boat they had some work done to it. One engine has 6 hoses coming off the housing and the other only 4 it dosen't have the 2 that go to the upper exhaust. Would it make a difference if I just get a 4 hose housing and plug those 2 holes? Having a hard time...

I am looking for a thermostat housing for my 454. The one that is on there has 6 hose connections. It is pretty rusted out inside and I can't even get the thermostat out. I guess I could use a alpha with 4 hoses also. :huh: Thanks Bob

They say there is a special way of timing these motors? They say use a jumper wire on the pruple/white wire. Mine dosen't have a pur/wh. Where do I go from here? Thanks Bob

I am pulling the engines in my 89 340da. They have v drives on them. I have everything ready to go. Do I have to move the coupler down the shaft or can I just pull the whole thing straight up an out? I don't want to mess up the spacing between the coupler.:huh: Thanks Bob

I have 7.4 MIE engines with B/W in my 89 340DA. Need to replace the port engine. What is the difference between the MIE and a Bravo? As far as I have seen is that the intake manifold is different according to the part numbers. Not sure why? Thanks Bob:smt038

My '89 340da has BW v drives in it. My starboard drive is very slow on kicking in for reverse. This makes it a real pain trying to dock. They were just rebuilt 2 years ago and don't have that many hours on them. Could it be just an adjustment? Just put the boat in and took it out yesterday. Oh...
