Hey all...now that I'm back I have to ask you guys about a potential problem I have. Recently we got a new Garmin Autopilot installed that I love...has the shadow drive that allows you to steer if you need to with the pilot engaged and then re-engage when you stop manually steering....my issue...
Hi All...back from long hiatus...sorry to anyone that needed a response from me and didn't get it in a timely manner...life has been out of control.
Finally thinking about boating again, even though the weather is poop here in Michigan and I have my first problem...
Has anyone fixed a broken...
Broken Windlass
Well boaters...several cuts and bruised ribs later I've successfully fixed the windlass! I actually had two faults, one being intermittent. My overload in the engine room was tripped but would not reset. I found this after doing several voltage checks. I removed the overload, a...
Dead anchor windlass
I need your collective wisdom again already...my windlass just died on Saturday...relay picked up when i tried to turn it on then went dead...like an inline fuse blew or something. Overload in engine room is not tripped...no power on light on dash...no power on foot...
I have Mercruiser 7.4L bluewater MPI's...I had to take the fuel filters back off and fill them with fuel to keep the boat running. I tried about 10 times and it just wouldn't fill them up.
I don't think you need to worry about a pint of unfiltered gas hurting your engines....
Well, Crew Of Two is finally sea worthy...sea trialed the monster trim tabs...definitely improved planing performance. Window screw cover foam replacment installed and looks good. Yesterday, successfully tested new Garmin Autopilot integrated with Garmin 742 Fishfinder/Chartplotter. All just...
I think shrinkage will be non-existant. I cut it as long as possible to fit tightly.
I cut it using a very sharp Buck knife. A razor knife or utility knife would also work well.
I'll let you all know in 3-4 years about the shrinkage...you guys keep washing the dirty foam pieces off your...
New stuff is vinyl...like the window seals on the inside...seals tight and can't absorb water...only down side is cost...I paid $175 when all was done...
Do any of you 330 owners have your shower sump pump running frequently? I actually seem to have some water source getting in there and I haven't figured out what it is yet...we don't use the shower so I don't even have a guess...
Traxstech may have bought Pursuit, which are the tracks I used. They are black and 6" long and come with fillers for when the riggers/rod holders are removed. I have 3" swivel riser bases so i can swing the rod holders to allow better boarding. Search on Vector. I'd recommend downriggers if you...
My stuff is all Vector, anodized blue to match the canvas. 2 electric downriggers with triple rod holders and two triple rod holders alone...I'll look for some better photos. When I'm not fishing, the stuff is stored in a dock box. Takes me about an hour to break everything down and get back...
Crew Of Two when fishing....we have two triple riggers as shown in the photo and two triple rod holders on the side. When we aren't fishing, the boat only has the four little pads remaining. I can run up to 12 rods....normally I run 7-9. I also have 9' fiberglass nets for the long stretch...
TD, that sounds like the stuff. I posted a point of contact earlier in this thread for where my marina ordered it. They went through a large Searay dealer in Florida instead of direct through Taylor...
We are having a torrential downpour thundershower right now so I plan to see if it solved...
Ok all you 330 Dancer owners...I don't know if you remember the conversation about the windshield screw cover foam or not, but if you do and you still have the foam stuff, I can without reservation STRONGLY recommend, regardless of price, that you order the new vinyl stuff. I just put it in...
TD, sounds like you are better off than I am. I'm not happy with the slight difference in color between the arch and the fiberglass and a burn mark, but you can't fix everything!! I'm on season five and I keep getting more ideas all the time!!
TD, why are you painting your arch? I have a bad spot in mine where the previous owner rubbed through pretty bad, and it doesn't exactly match the fiberglass hull anymore. None of the 95-99 330's with aluminum arches seem to match.
