My thought was the teak wouldn't show every foot print like the white swim platform. I'm afraid a light colored carpet would do the same and would hold water. I also think it would look great. I did not think about the heat, or simply using a cheap carpet or mat and stowing it while under way...

I was thinking of mounting the four inch wide pieces of teak spaced about a half inch apart over the fiberglass platform I can puchase the 5/8" teak for a hundred dollars.

I'm tired of trying to keep my swim platform clean. I was thinking of covering with spaced teak. Thoughts, concerns? Any advise would be appreciated.
