I love the boat I have 7.4 MPI EFI with fuel coolers and I find it very economical compared to carb. I agree the big fallback it sits heavy in the stern --- under 2k rpm fine between 2 and 2.8k the bow is up -- As said before the gas is the cheapest part of owning the boat

I have 7.4 mercruisers MPI MIE the fuel pump and the raw water pump are one unit driven by a v-belt. in trying to change the impellers in the pump I noticed the v-belt need changing -- I took the four bolts out of the water pump pulley and the pulley doesn't come off -- what am I doing wrong?
