    05 180 sport 3.0l wakeboarding?

I have an 07 175 with the 3.0 - This is a picture of my brother at about 275# last summer (Don't let the picture fool you -he is 6'7" tall) - pulled him up without any problem at all. Still, if you have friends that want to come along, there is alot to be said for size....

    185 with 135 hp

I have a 2007 175 with the 3.0, so I thought I would add my opinion here.... First of all, let me say that I am very happy with our boat. Starts without problems, EASILY tows my 280# brother around on a wakeboard, and regularly pulls a 3 person tube around all day on one 20 gallon tank of...

Sea Ray 175 Hull construction / transducers

I have the 07 175 Sport, and spent quite some time trying to get a "thru hull" transducer to work in the bilge using the method described above. I finally gave up and purchased a transom mount transducer.....works great now.

Gas Mileage While Towing Your Boat

I am lucky to get 14 mpg - with or without the boat, no difference (of course, the boat doesn't weigh very much!) 2008 F-350 4x4 - 6.4L Diesel

New 240 SunDeck with water leak, what sould I do?

Brian, I don't post much and I have a much smaller boat than yours, but I had EXACTLY the same problem with my 175 Sport when I picked it up last year. I wound up taking it back to the Denver MM 5 times before they found out what was causing it....I had two issues (both causing leaks) that had...

    Winter Cover

I keep it in a heated warehouse where I work....When I really get the urge, I can uncover it in the winter and sit in the drivers seat (making vroom vroom noises....)

    New to boating

I own one of the new 175 Sports, and would echo most of the comments here. I have been out in some pretty good waves (Powell) and although I haven't ever been concerned about making it back to the marina, I HAVE wished I was in something bigger. I agree with the previous comment - if you can...

Thinking of Buying a 175 Sport

Hi Willy! Thought I would chime in here, since I think I am one of the few on the board with a relatively new 175 (2007 model). We upgraded from a smaller (if that was possible! ) 15 foot Sugar Sand Mirage jet boat, thinking that as our girls got bigger - now 11 and 13 - they would...

    Hello from Colorado

Completely full - first time in years! I'm still breaking in the motor (and trying different props) so I can't comment on the motor yet - seems to run fine!

    New Sea Ray owner

"Your boat goes where you want it to? At low speads, it is near impossible to go straight in ours." You should try a jet boat! :smt013 There is nothing sticking down from the boat into the water to keep you in the direction you are pointed! Any wind from the side has to be compensated for...

    New Sea Ray owner

Derek, No, I bought the 175 (slightly smaller version, only the 3.0 135 hp) on March 20th - I keep it in my warehouse about 5 minutes from Chatfield so it is convenient, and I don't have to worry about it freezing! We have only missed 2 weekends (rain and snow) taking it out since! I also...

    New Sea Ray owner

Derek, Since you are from Denver, I am assuming that MM will deliver your boat at Chatfield Res. as they usually deliver them there - keep your eyes peeled for a new yellow 175 with a black bimini (that would be me!) :smt038 The temperature on Saturday is supposed to be in the mid 80's...

    Hello from Colorado

Well I finally did it - traded in my Sugar Sand Mirage for a new 2007 Sea Ray 175 Sport. Got it out on the water for the first time over the weekend (still too cold to actually get in the lake here without a dry suit - it was still iced over 3 weeks ago!) I have to admit being a little...
