i have a 2000 searay 37 express, i have two 30 amp plugs on port side of boat one is dead, its labeled line 2 ihave checked behind the panel, and no power is coming from the plug, but when i run gen, everythimg works fine, its not the cord or the y connector, does anyone know if their is a breaker or some sort of fuse, thanks nick

Very possible that the inlet itself is damaged, which could be a major fire hazard. Have you tried removing the inlet to take a look at the back side of it?

Have you verified there is power coming through the cord from the pedestal? Have you checked the outlet on the boat to verify no wires are broke on the inside of the outlet? The only breakers on my boat are on the breaker panel labeled Line 1 and Line 2 under the 120v section.

Maybe the switch from Shore to Generator for line 2 is malfunctioning?

I have 2 breakers (for shore power lines) in my engine room next to my Glendinning cablemaster.... I'm sure you are different but look for the low hanging fruit before you start tearing stuff apart.

My '98 370 has 2 breakers inside the storage compartment on the port side wall, just ahead of the passenger seat. I also have switches under the stairs heading down into the galley. Yours may have those as well, so make sure they are all on. The breakers inside the compartment weren't obvious to me, and I would have overlooked them if the surveyor hadn't pointed them out.

i did reverse the cords, i also checked the back side of the plug, i dont see any breakers that have tripped,

If you physically swapped the power cords then the pedestal is dead, the boat male plug is defective, or you have a breaker that your not aware of.

yes checked the back side, i swapped the cord on the boat so its not the outside post or the power cord, i think their must be a breaker somewhere just cant seem to find it, going down to boat Saturday to stripper fish, so i will snoop around a bit, thank you

so went down to the boat yesterday, on my port side up front by the passenger seat i have a small compartment i keep life jackets in, guess what, their are two breakers in their, daaaaaa so simple now !!!!

I figured that was going to be what you found, glad you were able to get it sorted out! Merry Christmas.
