The 650FLY and Capt. Rusty Had a Very Special Surprise Guest

So happy to hear Ben continues to do well. God Bless

Also thank you to the kind folks at Sea Ray for their previous support from FW's previous post makes me proud to be associated with a brand that is able to provide such a great charitable gift of time on the water to the family!

Wow, what a inspiring story. God bless Byers family and everyone who was there to help.

I remember the original thread. What a relieve readying the happy ending. Kudos to SR and Rusty.

Thanks for sharing it, Frank.

I read this thread last night and showed it to GW. Both of us were getting misty eyed and I just couldn't sit here and type an adequate response. Even now, sitting here in the morning, I'm not sure there is an adequate response to the show of caring, love and class displayed by all involved in making this happen.

Kudos to all of you and our best wishes to Ben and his family.

Fantastic! So happy for Robin and his family. Great write up and thank you for sharing Frank. Also, thank you Rusty for doing what you do. Very, very cool.

Like most of you I too remember reading this post and praying for the outcome I just read.
Rusty - thank you for all you did for this family and especially for Ben.
Frank - Thanks for posting. Yes, it brought tears to my eyes and those of my co-workers as they watched as well.
Duke Children's hospital - We all thank God for your commitment to us all.
Byers Family - Many more happy blessings to you and your family.
Ben - Never give up. Have a great life.

First - Thank you to everyone in the Clubsearay community for your support and kind words. Thank You especially to Frank Webster. Frank - The Captain would never be the one to say much about himself, so it is great that you started this thread, just like you were the catalyst way back at the beginning of our leukemia journey for our relationship with Rusty and Sea Ray. We really appreciate your special support thru the years. I thought you might enjoy the picture of Ben & Brody in the engine room of the 650 FLy from last Friday. That boat is a work of art.

Captain Rusty Higgins - Words just simply can't begin to express what you have done, and continue to do, for our family. The boys are still rambling on about this past weekend spent with you (and "first mate" Joe - Hey Joe!) on the 650 and in Wrightsville. We all enjoyed the time with you very much and we really appreciate how generous you were with it, considering everything Sea Ray, Marine Max, the yachting paparazzi and the paying customers had you busy doing while we were there. You are a force in our lives. The boys consider you part of the family. From you, they are truly learning what the title "Captain" is really all about. We, their parents, are so very proud to call you our friend. Thanks for everything. We miss you already.

What great news, thanks for sharing!!!!

FW and Capt. Rusty, prove once again Leo Durocher wrong: Nice guys do finish 1st, especially where it really counts.

Best wishes to Ben and the Byer's family
