Late start this year but finally in. :smt001

Bad impeller stopped me from putting in a few weeks ago, followed by a delay from life requirements.
Great to be back out after being in storage for 1 1/2 years.
Tried out my new GoPRo, Hero 2, waterproof camera.
I can see the camera is going to be fun once I learn all the tricks.

Enjoy my short clip: http://www.midwestconnection.com/images/misc/boat/forum/GOPR0062.MP4

Location: Lake Superior, Munising Bay - East Channel Entrance

Nice video! That boat is just way too shiny.

Nice video. I like the turn and the lighting. Very cool sky view.

I need to get one! They are too cool to not have IMO.

My thoughts exactly when I first saw my in-laws sending it down fishing in Florida.
Seems like unlimited hands-free useage available for just about anything you want to record.
Can't wait to post some underwater videos.

What a gorgeous day on the lake! The boat looks great too! You're making me jealous, I get to yank my motor out this weekend. Summer is a long ways away for me...

Did it catch any fish?????

Just kidding. Costco had those for $199 a few weeks ago. Might be worth checking online to see if they still have 'em.

Almost, cool shots of Sharks around and the Remora were actually knocking into it.

I opted for the optional LCD display too which makes it much easier to operate/set-up. You can see what it is looking at, and you can view the recorded videos on it. About another $80, comes with the needed back covers.

Judging from what I can see in the video your boat looks and sounds fantastic. Have a great season.

I was amazed how stable the image is.

Me too, even when it hit hard quartering a larger wave in the turn.
Not bad for a suction cup mount - I will probably start using a safety lanyard "just in case" though.
Fun toy.

Today I used a handlebar attachment to clamp the camera to a spare piece of railing with a lanyard just in case. Took an underwater shot as we go over a shipwreck near our homeport. It was an overcast day and the water is a bit cloudier than usual from high winds but the recording is amazing:

Enjoy - http://www.midwestconnection.com/images/misc/boat/forum/GOPR0082.MP4

:smt115 With other shots this has me thinking this can be a great tool, especially for you guys with inboards.
Ever hit something or wrap up an anchor line you can easily do a quick inspection of the underside from above the water.

Here is another different angle you don't usually get to see: http://www.midwestconnection.com/images/misc/boat/forum/GOPR0093.MP4

I certainly enjoyed them. How did you do the swivel shot? Nice surprise on that one.

I used a handlebar attachment to clamp the camera to a spare 3 foot piece of railing with a lanyard (for my wrist) just in case.
They were all done by hand using the piece of railing, no fixed mounts, can't get much simpler. Just don't let go.
