I’m a little disappointed in PB Blaster.. that was my go to

PB blaster first, Liquid Wrench, together. Wait a while, heat til red hot with propane torch. Add socket at end of breaker bar with a 3 foot galvanized pipe on end.
Something is coming loose.

I’m loving @Pirate Lady ’s method! I always used Liquid Wrench, but I’m gonna try the ATF-ACE mix…… I worked in mechanical maintenance at a PA power company, hydro-electric (dam across Susquehanna River, with a steam-powered plant along the riverside. Whenever we ran into that kind of a problem, which was almost daily as the plants were old, we always looked at each other and said ‘You get the propane and liquid wrench, I’ll get a bigger dam HAMMER’. :p:p:p:cool:
 
Gotta be a little careful using the ATF/ACE mix as it's very flammable. Use with adequate ventilation and away from flames and sparks.
 
It makes sense as acetone molecules are very small and more apt to sneak into small crevices, possibly taking the ATF with it.

That's why it goes through our skin. Molecules small enough to go through our pores...way smaller that water molecules which don't.

I'm an "apply heat" guy. I've never not gotten threaded parts apart after heating them up.
 
Kroil is good stuff. Seems safer than the acetone mix. That shit will attack plastic like crazy.

Not everything likes to be heated with a torch. Aftercooler cores and housings, for example.

I wish I saw this post earlier - I can attest to that note. I just removed the crossover pipe on an 8.1 motor and found the thermostat bolt and the rubber water pump seal bolt frozen. I heated both but they would not budge. The welder at my shop welded nuts onto what was remaining and while it seemed to move slightly, I soaked with pb blaster overnight but both bolts still broke. Next time I’ll try the concoctions listed above.
 
And old Harley mechanic once told me that he heats up the bolt, although not too hot and lets candle wax melt onto the broken stub.

The heat draws the wax in and helps in removal.

Never tried it but it's an interesting notion.
