So let's hear about and see your cars.

It did get the looks back in the day. I sat in it a short time ago and rediscovered why I sold it. Probably one of the most uncomfortable cars to sit in and get into and out of. It’s range was about 200 miles, and that was about the limit of my ability to tolerate the cramped seating. My head touched the ceiling with the t-top on.

Then Chevy made the C4 and cramped went to a new level!

I never quite got used to driving this oneView attachment 132605

Go drive the C7 as well. Worlds better than any previous vette.
My caretaker has a C7 Grand Sport in Long Beach Red. It's very easy on the eyes; especially with her in it.
But - we took it to FLIBS from here in central Fl a couple of years ago and we were both ready to get out of it when we got back that night.

Really? The C7 seats are the best generation yet. Suspension too rough?

I agree. Even with the Z06 option, mine was the most comfortable Corvette (out of 8) I owned. I could be on the interstate with the top down and carry on a Bluetooth phone conversation. Drove it straight thru from Charlotte NC to my home in Florida with the wife sitting shotgun. No issues whatsoever.

It's just shy of a 4 hour drive there then another home plus all day on our feet at the show. The trip all on I-95. My kester and lower back said that's enough. The Grand Sport has a stiffer suspension (magnetic hydraulic) even in Tour mode.

My oldest son bought a C7 Sting Ray with about 20,000 miles on it this summer. He left it with me for a few days. I drove the tires off of it. It's a beast.
My kid has a Challenger. He has no room for it in the winter so it comes up by me in the fall before snow flies. The seat is hard on my rear, don't like getting in/out but it sure sounds nice...I give it a couple rips and park it. I figure I'm just gettin' even...hey son, how do you like it.:D

My BMW 335i is no comfort creature. I drive it around the city and for short trips, but rarely on the highway, too tight, stiff and uncomfortable.

This was the first Porsche that I almost bought. My son talked me into the brand after I was getting tired of AudiTTSs. It was in the showroom at the dealer and I told the sales guy I would buy a car from him if I could fit in it without hitting my head on the roof and my knees on the steering wheel. Being well over 6 feet tall does not work so well with most sports cars. Surprise………3” to spare of headroom and I had to move the seat forward just a bit to reach the pedals. I ended up not buying this car because it was kind of low optioned so I ordered one with bells and whistles plus a 17.9 gallon gas tank.
The new Boxsters are very comfortable to ride in and have a 550 mile range thru the miracles of software and a delicate touch with the throttle on road trips. I have driven mine all day stopping only for fuel with 525 miles on the clock and 25 miles in reserve. My back feels great and the 18 way seat adjustment and steering wheel means I feel good after hours of driving. These cars are made for people who like to drive. It’s a home run of a car.

My first Porsche was a 99 996 Cab that I got 4 speeding tickets with in the first 4 weeks. My wife said 'Holy Crap, this thing is like cop bait'. 22 years later still have the plate.

The early Boxters were under powered. I assume they got better...

On par now with 911 Carreras, plus they handle better. My current one has 350HP for a little over 3000 pounds. The next one will be about 400HP.

My first Vette was an 84 C4. It was cramped, rode like a truck, and was slower than molasses. God, I loved that car.

Mine was a 1991. Yes it was like driving a truck. Need a butt massage after a long trip. Ended up selling it after it only had 7500 miles. But that was because our kids were very young and I did not drive it much.
