So let's hear about and see your cars.

My Son's 1994 Toyota Supra. This is his baby. He is a gearhead with a lift in his outbuilding. He stripped it to the frame for paint, repaired / upgraded transmission, engine, you name it...... even built the wiring harness himself!

Sweet...... Now, sneek a couple turbos under the hood and scare the daylights out of you and any passenger you have.
My son's 2015 C7 Stingray has enough under the hood to scare me and anyone brave enough to ride with me. I ran it up to 145 MPH Friday and got there in a hurry. No turbos needed.

Did 180 on a ride along at Daytona. Could've drank coffee it was so smooth. Yawn... 177 on a ZX14....thrilling. Sit on the line, hold the trans brake, mat it, release the trans brake button....kind of violent. I've always had the need for speed.

I usually chicken out around 130ish. C7 can go faster than I care to go.

I've never drag raced. But I did do the Richard Petty driving experience. I hit 165 of the back stretch, I know because the car wouldn't go any faster and that's what they're limited to. That was fun. My buddy that did it with me took a bad line into turns 1 and 2 and almost put it into the wall. Scared the shit out of him and he didn't really get on the throttle again.

I agree. I let it get away from me a bit. I don't know what speed the computer limits it to, but if I go 145 or more again it will only be on the back stretch of a track.
I seem to recall the Z51's are speed limited to 186, although some brave (or foolish) souls, remove it with a tuner.

When I drag raced my best trap speed was 116 something but I'm sure I hit 120 as I always stayed in a little past the traps. Right after my won turned 15 he ran a Star Mazda Pro Formula car on the big track at BeaveRun (now Pitt Raceway or something). He hit 125 in it. He had been racing karts for awhile so they let him test a Star Mazda

I remember as a stupid college kid taking my Dad's 1966 Ferrari 275 GTS to 145 in 3rd gear - back end still squatted down, two more gears to go - and I WISELY chickened out!

I think they only made ~180 of them - 3.3 liter V12 with (only) 260 HP. I don't know how they did it, but my goodness, it sounded great. I wish I had it today!

Speaking of Ferraris.... Yep, speed kills.

Purchased this from CARMAX in Connecticut while laying around for 4 weeks waiting for 5 broken ribs to heal after falling into bilge and catching left ribcage on hatch. Oh my the pain. Anyways had an old Sebring and decided time for a change. 2007 Spyder. Found it online, was a bank repo with 7,000 miles on it. Had it transferred to Maryland and has just hit 30,000. We use it on weekends and short travel. Just a fun car to drive.
