Weekday boating out there is incredible. A completely different lake than on the weekends!!

I would've recommended heading north into Lake Huron and spending an evening in Lexington, MI and then if time permitted hitting Cheboygan, MI the next day.
Thought about that…. Was tired bouncing around up here from marina to marina ….. so decided to chill on the island for a week

No time for play this weekend. Showings, sea trials and a couple of survey reports to finish. We'll be back next Friday(8/12).
I captained a sea trial on a 460 & a 410 yesterday & this morning out of Cleveland... The lake was gorgeous both trips!

Idled past Bumpers on the Clinton River late morning. The place was slammed with performance boats and center consoles. Not a dock open. Must have been a club or poker run?

The biggest boat/yacht I've ever seen at Metrobeach was moored along the seawall yesterday. A 93' Filippetti "Seek The Sun". In the parking lot nearby was an enclosed semi trailer with awning with a few supercars parked near and under the awning along with a big group guys around a nearby shelter. Guessing all were related somehow. Maybe using Metrobeach as a staging area for the Dream Cruise.
There were a number of really fast boats making speed runs along the west side of Harsons Island. Massive rooster tails and big speed.

That could certainly explain it!! Didn't realize that might have been today. There was a second dive boat in the area but he wasn't moving around as much.

Ran down to the Ambassador Bridge yesterday for no real reason. It was nice and hadn't been that direction with wife and MIL. Not much traffic. Only passed 2 freighters.

That's a nice ride. Our plan right now is to take off Friday and spend 2 nights at Milliken for my buddy's Birthday. Probably hit a few restaurants and the casino....

Thanks Brent, Unfortunately our plans changed. My Buddy's wife ended up testing positive for Covid on Thursday so we just stayed around the marina this weekend and went to Little Moot with Great Lakes (Rich) on Saturday....

The 3 near the Clinton River are Belle Maer Harbor, MacRay and Lambrechts. Partial to Belle Maer..... I'm a well owner. The rentals are around the perimeter and the condo wells are the interior wharfs. 100% rented this year and only a couple of condo wells for sale.
