58DB GHS Hydraulic Lift

It could be a couple of things. Do you hear a loud click when you turn on the main switch ? if so you are getting power to the unit. It you hear the click and then hear the beep you should keep holding the button and the platform should move if not you may have a bad remote. I took mine to a local computer repair company and had all of the internal switches replaced and it worked like a charm after that repair. Once you get it working I would suggest always completely lowering and raising the unit they do not like stopping mid cycle.

yes I get loud click when hitting lift switch. I get beep beep beep when engaging remote but won’t go down (it’s all the way up now).
Where do you put in new hydraulic fluid in this thing? I have the blue pump

Your best bet is to give GHS a call when you are at the boat. They are very helpful and always willing to troubleshoot with you on the phone.

Called Rick. Replaced the gauge, filter, drained fluid, put new fluid in and presto, she's working like a dream again! Rick def knows his stuff... i think he invented this setup. LOL

BTW, thank you for all the help! Truly appreciated!

I'm guessing you can only replace the filter when the system is drained on these? Something I've been putting off doing for years...

I'm not entirely sure but suspect you'd make a huge mess if it still had hydraulic fluid in it. I would drain it first.

Nope, you can change the filter with the reservoir full...at least on my set up. You will need to place a rag under the filter before unscrewing it to catch whatever residual oil is in the filter.

Replaced the hydraulic pressure gauge today. Have a nice shiny new one now. Also cleaned up down there quite a bit. Doing so will allow me the ability to now have a baseline if anything is leaking. Wow it’s fun down below.... i felt totally like a contortionist... thank god for Advil and Vodka! LOL.

I’m just curious about this filter replacement. What could be contaminating a sealed hydraulic system bad enough to foul and plug up a filter to the point of failure? Isn’t the cause the bigger concern?
