The inverter is added on to power the TVs...one in the salon Starboard forward by the mirror so the inverter is hidden behind the back cushion of the couch. The other TV is in the master state room in place of the ancient tube TV.

In place of the old tube TV in the salon over the fridge, we have the booze locker!

Hehe!

Nice! I added TV to the bulkhead in the salon the inverter is at the helm behind the dash. Power cables feed through the bulkhead to the inverter for the TV and Apple TV. The Forward V birth I just literally got done adding an outlet above the starboard locker just about the only place I can put it without running wires on the shelves along side the bed. Damn pictures came out sideways. Sorry. Lol

What inverter did you use?

I was looking for the part number for the bilge blower motors on a 2003 380? Anyone have it handy? Thanks in advance.

I had one replaced recently. On my invoice, it stated "29-240 - BILGE BLOWER". When I looked online based on that number, I think it may be a generic part, but It works like a champ and is very strong in capacity.

Good luck,
Vince

Do you have any pictures of the new booze locker?

Does anyone have some tips on running names 2000 cables for my electronics down through the spoiler or up from the transducer plugs? I will be installing some new items over next weekend? Also has anyone removed the thick white radar cable coming from the old raymarine pathfinder display? Thanks

We tend to swing more than most boats...by a lot. The pivot for swinging is just behind the helm so the bow catches the wind and we rotate to 90 deg to the wind and then the chain comes up tight and then it goes the other direction. We end up with a 180 deg swing.
I was wondering if anyone has used a sea anchor or drouge to slow this swing down.

Not the end of the world but thought I would ask!

Cheers!

When I put the new Garmin radar dome on the arch, I took out the oval cover at the top inside and was able to feed the cables from on top into the inside of the arch. Then I used the old cables to pull the new ones through the top center to the Starboard side of the arch. I removed the speaker and the curved upholstery to access holes to get my hands in.

I then removed the cubby on the Starboard side of the helm and was able to route the cables along that side, past the heat exchanger for helm heat and then under the dash.

For coming up from the engine room, there is a corrugated conduit that I was able to feed a stiff 12 gauge romex home type wire from the cubby and down and back into the engine room. then the romex was used to pull the transducer wires up.

Good luck!

I do not have any pictures as I don't load email onto my travel computer. Basically, the back and side of the cavity are framed in with plywood and there are doors to match the light birch (or whatever species) cabinetry. There is lots of room!

Cheers!

Morning, anybody know the part number for a 01 muffler for 8.1s, mine started leaking. Also what do you use for riser exhaust rubber tubes? THX

Has anyone replaced a transmission yet? Curious what the pricing is.

Thanks,
Vince
The PO had one of the trans pulled out and rebuilt...I just located the paper work and filed it. I will dig it out and see what it was. It did not seem like all that much...there is not much to them...

I'm fairly certain its a Centek 1601484 (from Sea Ray part number 1418987). Not recommending anything that anyone is uncomfortable with, but I repaired minor leaks on two of them in my 310DA with 3M 5200. Others have repaired them with fiberglass. Regarding the hose, probably a wire reinforced 4" exhaust hose from Trident or similar is fine. (Sea Ray part number 124127)

Anyone have to replace the TV amp in the galley? Anyone do it without removing the refrigerator? Inquiring minds would love to know...

Thanks

Thank you, I appreciate you assistance. It's frustrating that they need to pull the boat out of the water to work on the transmission... at least according to my service guy.

Would love to hear from any owners of Sundancer 380 with CAT 3126 diesels or Merc 8.1 Horizon gas engines...trying to decide between two same year 2002 boats. There is a price differential of $20k more for boat with diesels, but it also has a newly installed bow thruster.
We have a 2003 with 8.1 Horizons, Awesome power! Very dependable.

If the diesel boat checks out, that's great. If you do end up with 8.1's, don't think twice about it. Plenty of power and torque for this boat.
