Anyone have/make a liquor bottle rack?

I believe I have to replan - because of the height (around 8"), having a 7-8" tall bottle in there means it has to tilt far to one side to remove from any type of rack that will hold the bottles upright. Catch 22 - make the rack low to allow bottles to be removed, and run the risk of them...

Anyone have/make a liquor bottle rack?

Looking to "class up" the 1994 290DA cabin...or at least fill an open spot. I have a 8" tall, 25" wide, 10-12" deep shelf area above the microwave with an oval window + curtain that does nothing but collect crap. I'd like to put a mini liquor rack in there, putting in the smaller liquor bottles...

Where is 290DA fresh water pump?

Update - replaced it with a 3gph ShurFlo (with my 9 yr old sticking his finger in the water pipe while I did it), works perfectly (quieter too). Much thanks again to the CSR forums.

Where is 290DA fresh water pump?

Excellent, much appreciated! I thought I had gone through that entire aft cabin (water tank, port side panel, etc.) but never pulled that one up. There it is under a separate panel, power going to it, no water flowing, clean strainer, so looks to be time to replace the 15 yr old pump. Thanks!

Where is 290DA fresh water pump?

Driving myself nuts trying to figure this out. On our 1994 290DA, the water system just stopped working. Oddly enough there is no light behind the cockpit switch for the water system anymore, but there is power in and out of the switch, so I'm trying to trace the cause. I'm reading a lot...

    What's this 3rd battery do??

OK, a 1994 290DA with twin V6 Mercs...has three batteries, all group 27 brand new put in last year when we bought it. One on the port side (just aft of the black water holding tank) and two on the starboard side (just starboard of the fuel tank, as far forward in the bilge as they can go, one...

Anyone have a Maintenance Log "template" or source

Previous owner of our boat did not keep a formal log or record, just a stack of receipts showing work done. Going forward I want to standardize it, maybe in a book form or at least use some type of industry-standard form I can download/print, etc. Anyone have any ideas or sources? What do...

    Hope eveyone's 4th was a good one!

Had an awesome time on the Delaware River with the kids and another family, up close on-the-river views of the Philly fireworks: Anchored right off the Battleship New Jersey, cooked out, and had the best view - and no traffic!

    290 sundancers 1994-midyear 97 "We need a thread"

Yeah, the comment about the bad relay switch I believe meant the automatic switch within the fridge itself - he meant it's an expensive part and a job & a half removing the fridge to replace it. I'm hoping there's some magic easy answer out there to avoid all of that...

    290 sundancers 1994-midyear 97 "We need a thread"

Hijack away - I have the same issue, and it's the #1 issue driving my wife nuts. Fridge runs on shore power, not off (12V). Breaker is fine, switch on console is on (but doesn't light up), but no 12V power. Someone on the dock said to me "oh, that's the relay switch - very expensive to...

    290 sundancers 1994-midyear 97 "We need a thread"

Wow, not sure why it took me this long to realize there was an ongoing thread for mid-90s 290 owners! Newbie here, got our first boat this past fall and are now in the middle of our first full year, still figuring things out. 1994 290DA with twin 4.3LX. Coupla questions for anyone out there...

    Greetings from scenic New Jersey

No, sorry, wasn't me - but I did see an Island Hopper there - I believe there's one on this board as well, so I stuck with an old college nickname... I'll add some pics to the virtual marina ASAP - just got some great ones from the Welcome America fireworks in Philly, shots right off the...

    Greetings from scenic New Jersey

Fantastic board - was missing the old SRO, and the others are, well, a bit political and negative. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, some great info and people. Looking forward to hanging out!
