    Ballast

I live in St Louis and the boat is in Florida. I stay on it when I'm there so I need it back in the slip temporarily. I agree about the sand, and yes I want stern lower for proper bilge pump operation. Thanks for the input.

    Ballast

Have removed both motors from my Sundancer 300. I want to put it back in the water for now. What is the best thing to use for ballast? Any negative / positive thoughts on bags of playground sand from Home Depot?

I have IOs. Port is left rotation, starboard is right hand rotation. So if I understand correctly for a alpha 1 gen 2 the port will be in reverse and the starboard in forward?

    5.7L Mercruiser Removal

I need to pull an engine from my 1989 Sundancer 300. When I pull the drive does the throttle need to be in any particular position? Are there any gotchas on the disconnecting of components from the engine, or any techniques that would be good to know? Thanks

    No Engines

Putting the old drives back on is a temporary thing. I will only have to put ballast on the port side since I don't plan on removing the Starboard engine. Just strip some parts off to sell. Theoretically it will be a boat awaiting repairs. The problem putting a new engine in is: 1. Even though...
