No I was concerned that the angle of the rope may interfere with the swim platform. But I think it may be a non issue.

Sea Ray 180 - Swimgrid towing tubes

I am considering purchasing an aftermarket swim grid for my 1999 Sea Ray 180. Does anyone have experience towing a tube with an aftermarket swim grid using the stock tow ring? It looks like the tow rope may come in contact with the swim grid.. Any feedback would be appreciated. Bob

Temperture Gauge - Sea Ray 180

Ok, I understand the 140 deg is for raw water cooled engines that run in any salt water, as salt crystallizes above 160 deg. If you run in a lake 160 deg is perfect. Now I still have to chase down the gauge issue...

Temperture Gauge - Sea Ray 180

I'm positive that it said 140 deg in the thermostat. I'm going to have to research some more as I'm finding people with both 140 and 160 temps in their 3.0 Mercruisers. Gotta love the Internet sometimes.

I used a temperature gun pointed at the thermostat housing and it read a steady 145 deg while idling on the muffs, the...

Sea Ray 180 - second battery location

Oh ok. The stock location in '99 is on the Starboard side beside the trim pump. I will look at placing the second on the port side over the gas tank. Thanks for your help.

Sea Ray 180 - second battery location

I have a 1999 Sea Ray 180 and I am interested in upgrading the stereo. In order to do this I want to first add a second battery and an ACR. Since there is not a lot of room to accommodate the second battery does anyone have pics of a similar setup? Thanks! Bob
