Hi, My anti-slip is pretty worn out and getting slippery, I want to add more grip to it without having to repaint the whole hull to match the color. Has anyone ever used a clear anti-slip paint? If not what options do I have? Thanks in advance

I just checked the awlgrip website again and they don't have any dealers near me at all. I'm in Buffalo, NY and the closest dealer is in Canada or Michigan so I'll have to order online and won't be able to ask any questions in person.

That was going to be my next question was what types of paint are good? I looked at the awlgrip online and there are so many different kinds. I'm not picky I just want something that is fairly easy to apply that will last the longest. Has anyone used something and had good results?

Thank you everyone for the help! I think I will go the route of removing the old paint and repainting it. I can do the prep work myself and I have a cousin that paints cars who can spray it for me. It sounds like this will be the best course of action or I will be chasing this problem for years...

I've also wondered about the color difference because even if I feathered it out and clear coated it or something it would still show. If I can get this layer of, whatever it is, off is there anything you could recommend I repaint over it with? Or what should I do with it?

There is one other area that is bad like that but at the right angle you can see where it will soon start to happen in other places.

I didn't know wax was applied that thick? Would the wax come off and change the color like that? I hope thats all it is because I can compound, polish and wax. I'm just afraid its the gelcoat itself.
