350 Sundancer now on Searay.com with pricing

Here in the UK my 280 cost not far short of $200,000 when bought new. I want to move up to, what we call a 335, which I think is a 300DA but I'm looking at over $320,000. Prices must be near double. Okay, pretty much all larger Sea Rays have Diesels which inflates the price somewhat.

    Repowering 280 with diesel

That photo was taken mid English Channel on our way home from France. It's our friend's boat, a Sealine S23, so smaller than a 240. It was quite an experience, 80 miles crossing one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world, especially when the fog closed in and visibility dropped to less than...

    Repowering 280 with diesel

In the UK the 280 with a diesel lump is pretty much the norm. Mine has a single Volvo Kad44 which isn't going to break any records but the performance is adequate. Cruising at about 25kts I burn about 5gals per hour (UK gals so slightly bigger than yours). Currently diesel is about $5.60 per...

    280 sundancer question

Hi, Not sure if it's of any use, but in the UK and Europe all boats need to be CE approved. As part of the approval a plate has to be visible listing the maximum occupancy and luggage weight at which point the vessel becomes unstable. My 280 (315 in the UK) is plated as having a maximum...

    Windlass Problem

Thanks for the reply! I did notice this post but noticed it was slightly different to my situation in that my solenoid doesn't get energised or the green light at the helm doesn't come on. Regardless, it's given me some ideas on how to check the solenoid. Ian.

    Windlass Problem

Hi All, I'm having a problem with my Windlass, hopefully someone may be able to help. A bit of background. The Windlass is the standard Loefrons Marlin windlass that's fitted to my 2003 280DA. The problem. I press the windlass button at the helm and the green light doesn't illuminate...

Finally got around to saying hi!

Hi, We're another Searay family based out of the UK. Right now we have a 280DA after owning a 240DA and 230OV previously. Ohana is based in Poole which gives us a pretty good cruising ground. Our plan this year is to take the 60mile trip across the English Channel to France. This will be...
