Well it's not the thermostat. Swapped that out today, then went on a maintenance cruise. Still overheated at high rpms. Had a laser thermometer on the risers. Starboard riser was hitting 165 and port was sitting at 115. I guess it's time to swap the risers and manifolds out ? Was hoping to get...
Update, just took it on a quick run to get a better diagnosis. Once I opened it up to 3000rpms. The temp kept climbing almost to 200. Idled down and it went back to 170. So it's a water temp problem. Now is it the thermostat, impeller, or even the manifolds/risers.
Hello all,
Out on the boat over the weekend and was running fine at slow speeds. However when I opened it up, about a minute into running at 3400rpm, the engine alarm went off. I slightly panicked because my sister was on the boat and I didn't want her to freak out ( she is dramatic and...
I thought it was that. It was originally a blender (priorities while dockside:wink::wink: ), that works on the dockside 120v. Then i tired a radio. Still nothing
The GFI outlet was popping everytime i tried to plug something in. I went and replaced the GFI outlet, and nothing. I bought the GFI with the light on the outlet, so its getting power. However, anytime i plug something in, no power.
Thanks for all the input. I changed the docking set up over the MDW. Carabiners are now connected to the stern eye bolts. Much easier to board the boat, and looks better and isn't rubbing up on the transom. Now onto my next project, 120v outlets aren't working, but all other shore power is.
Hello all,
My new slip is set up for a "stern first in" docking. Now my stern of my '99 240 Sundancer is tied to the dock with normal criss-cross set up. However these lines are blocking the aft door to board the boat. I have been pondering putting carabiners on the end of the stern lines...
