Yes I replaced a transmission earlier this year. Boat has to come out because the shaft has to be slid back through the V-Drive. If you have the ZF’s you shouldn’t have any problems getting a new one or rebuilt. I had Velvet Drives and it was not easy to find a new one. Let me know if you...

I removed the reflectors now that I think about it. It did not effect the light because the lamps are down facing.

Go to superbrightled.com. Here are the part numbers and quantities for all the interior fixtures on the 380. These work great. Fit perfectly.

Does the gen bog down when you apply a load to it? The governor may need to be serviced. I would check that first if it is running fine otherwise. Assuming you have a westerbeke with a mechanical governor.

So after a few weeks of searching I was able to find a rebuilt transmission. For some reason the Velvet Drive 5000v’s that I have in my boat are pretty tough to find. It was a 12 week lead time, nobody had one in stock. Was strongly considering swapping both out for ZF’s. Pulled the boat last...

Well, just took the boat out for the first time since we splashed it. Noticed a little different sound out of the transmissions while pulling out of the slip. Just had the props reworked, and cutlass bearings done so wasn’t sure if that was causing it. Got out of the marina and slowly worked...

That is a great deal. The guys in our area charge big bucks to template and install SeaDek. I found the template on the SeaDek website for the swim step and just installed myself. I think it was around $1000. Did they have the template for your cockpit already or did they custom template...

Alright got the boat splashed just before sunset tonight. Have to say I am pretty happy with the results.

I honestly just saw the boat in person today. They still have to get it finished up. I will post more pictures when it gets splashed. We are in a covered slip, so I hope that extends the life a bit. I have some semi trucks that we wrapped about 4 years ago, and they still look decent. This...

Thought the rest of you 380 guys would get a kick out of this. Decided to do a color change wrap on our boat, and here is how it turned out. Still waiting to get it in the water but man what a difference!

Just got our boat out for the first time. Planning on some underwater lights, rework the props, and some clean up.

On mine the rudders, and exhaust were bottom painted. Just pulled it for the first time in two years and they were clean.

Thanks for the info! They are the 8.1 horizon’s. I will grab the serial numbers off the blocks and post them. Pretty sure they were remans, maybe one was newer than the other.
