I notice this is an older thread but hoping someone will see it and give me some insight. I have a 99 260DA with the 5.7 and a Bravo ii out drive. Currently running an 18.75 by 17 prop. I'm getting 4200 rpm at WOT which gets me about 32 miles per hour by GPS. I usually cruise at 3800-4000...
I recently bought a 1999 260 DA, I know the engine has been rebuilt, but I noticed the other day that the outdrive has a “diesel” sticker on it. Mine runs on gasoline. So I’m assuming the outdrive has been replaced at some point as well. Question is......
Is the gearing ona diesel outdrive...
1997 Sundancer 260DA, shifts and runs fine in forward but will not engage reverse. Revs as if in warm up mode. I know of a few reasons but looking for a complete list of reasons this might happen.
Lubrication points?
Throttle linkage seems to be very stiff. In "warm up" mode the control is fine but putting it "into gear" seems very stiff and almost difficult to come back to neutral, then back into reverse. Any ideas?
Yes I’m sure one of those would work, lol. A bit pricey. I’m not trying to be cheap but I don’t know how much I’ll even use that sink. I just want it to look decent and not leak.
Any recommendations on where to find a replacm ent faucet for the cabin?
The leak in the shower/had is a little crack in the corner, not the drain itself, so some caulk should fix that.
PLUMBING ISSUES
The shower drain is leaking under the floor, can't even see this fixture from the shower sump area.
Head is leaking where water source enters.
Cabin sink stays on, valve is shot. Where can I get new faucet?
THRILLED!!! Motor started and ran smoothly with little effort to get it started. But I did notice this....
The exhaust bellows on smaller boats look kinda like an accordian... flexing in and out with the trim of the outdrive. Is this supposed to be open like this? Looks like it is made for the...
Gonna head over to the boat and try to get some things done. Gonna try the water system to see if it works. Can't really check the A/C until I get to some shore power. Gonna check all the fluids, I know I need to add fluid to tilt trim reservoir and check the trim tab fill too. I'm assuming...
I think I have a manual on how to operate the head. I'll check there first for that.
Now, I have AC outlets in the cockpit and I think in the cabin. Is it safe to assume I have an inverter somewhere?
Yes I saw the deck plate marked waste water, so ok.
If 4 is an AC pump, the black hose coming out of it goes across to this 3 then to another seacock. 1 should be my fresh water tank. Is that just for the AC condensation?
