Hi All,
I recently purchased a 2009 240 Sundancer with the vacu-flush. I went to a pump out station and simply put the vacuum tube into the rear waste outlet, but nothing comes out. There is definitely liquid waste stored, so not sure why it won't come out. We tried pouring water into the...
Thanks for the great suggestions. I have gone through the locks once with an experienced boater on board, which was nice. Thankfully, it was a slow day (we went through the small lock), and I parked perfectly. It is nerve racking, but it is what it is.
Gonna follow the advice on this...
So I'm getting my '09 240 back on Monday after adding some fishing mods. The girlfriend and I want to start overnight cruising in it (us two, the daughter, and the dog). Does anyone have any good recommendations for "newbie cruising" so I can get my sea legs and learn the ins and outs of doing...
$30,500 with only 72 hours seems almost too good to be true. I thought I got a great deal on my 09 with 60 hours with trailer, and I paid a fair amount more (but mine is heavily optioned and still under warranty - dealer show boat). Sea trial and thorough inspection a must IMHO.
Need some suggestions (and pics would even be better). I have an '09 Sundancer 240 and I'm looking for dingy recommendations. The issue is my 240 is set-up for cruising and fishing, so space is limited. I have a 9.9 Mer kicker attached to the swim board (therefore, with a fish cooler, I can't...
I went to Auburn Sports and Marine--great place and very helpful people (and pretty good pricing)! I picked up two Scotty 1106 downriggers (60" telescopic arm). Though I can't stand their outrageous install pricing, I'm probably just going to have South Lake Union Sea Ray install them when...
Hi All,
I want to add two Scotty downriggers to my '09 Sundancer 240. Can anyone recommend a shop in the Seattle area that can put the mounts on them in a clean manner. Also, if anyone has put downriggers on their cruisers, I'd love to see pics or get some advice to help me determine which...
Did anyone say that boating is expensive? Holy cow. Just ordered a Merc 9.9 as a kicker for fishing trolling. The engine and installation will cost me a pretty penny. That hurt the wallet.
Thanks for the support! What a great forum community (also nice to see the college allegiances!).
I really want to take the boat out today, but I probably should try to earn a living and service my clients lol. I do plan on being on the water this weekend. I can already tell I'm a boating...
So I had my inaugural voyage today. An overcast day today, but no rain and a few pro-longed sun breaks. It was a GREAT time, but also fairly stressful as it was the first time operating a boat "on my own." Thankfully, my girlfriend's father came along; and he is an experienced boat owner.
I...
Thanks all for the warm welcome.
I live a few blocks away from South Lake Washington (Lakeridge neighborhood, south of Seward Park). I'm mooring the boat in South Lake Union for now. Eventually, hope to get a slip closer to me, but South Lake Union is a nice spot because of its proximity to...
Hi Everyone. First time boat owner and new member to the board. I have wanted a boat for a long time, and a few weeks ago I went out with a friend on a small older boat on Lake Washington and thought, "I really should have a boat". Few weeks later, I bought a 2009 Sundancer 240 in great...
