    New Trailer Recommendations

I might be an inch short to reaching the very back of the transom. We noticed that during the set up but ran out of daylight. It will just take a quick tweak to correct. Thanks for the support! I fly the mighty F-18 Charlie.

    New Trailer Recommendations

Any recommendations on what to do with the old trailer? I was thinking a metal scrap yard to get at least something for it and pull the wheels/tires off and sell those. I'm not even sure a place would want a rusted painted steel trailer.

    New Trailer Recommendations

Picked up the EZLoader in Tampa and brought it back up to SC. It took quite a bit of work to set the trailer up. Luckily the ramp wasn't busy so the boat floated while my father and I did the work. I picked up some hardware to add an additional pair of bunks (used a pair off the old trailer)...

    New Trailer Recommendations

Looks like I found a really nice aluminum EZLoader for sale. New hardware, brakes, actuator and bearings built for a 22-24 ft boat with a GVWR of 6600 lbs. Doesn't have brakes on both axels but the brackets are there so I plan to add them once I get the trailer. The only question is the...

    New Trailer Recommendations

Well after getting some measurements from the seller, safe to say my boat won't fit on that trailer...the search continues. Thanks again for all the help!

    New Trailer Recommendations

Looks like the second trailer has been sold. I still might look at the first link but I'm concerned about overall capacity. I plan to swap my 14 inch wheels and tires over since the trailer I might look at has 13 inch wheels. If this trailer has 3,500lb axels with the addition of my wheels...

    New Trailer Recommendations

I used this trailer in salt water but I still can't believe how fast it rotted away. The last two summers I have been deployed and although the boat was getting used by my family, it was stored high and dry and the trailer sat in storeage. Just when I get my boat ready to hit the water...I...

    New Trailer Recommendations

Looks like I'm going to be in the market for a new trailer... I knew the factory trailer was rusting pretty bad but I started to pick away at it today after detailing my 220 and saw just how bad it is getting. I'm pretty nervous about towing the boat since 1/4 of the steel is missing and I...

harbor freight polisher proper pad, bonnet sequence/order

I second the Porter Cable but regardless you can still get some good results with the right pad and polish. I recommend going the foam pad route. I leverage a lot on my auto detailing when it comes to my boat. Depending on how bad the scratches or oxidation is you'll need a pad and polish...

    Alpha1 Trim won't trim down?

Thanks again for all the help. This is what my plan of attack is going to be this weekend. 1. Disconnect hyd lines from the hyd connector on the gimbal housing. I know they will back off because I did that this past weekend to bleed the system (instead of messing with them on the rams...

    Alpha1 Trim won't trim down?

Ya that crap came out of my hydraulic system! The second time I bled the "down" side, the fluid was much cleaner. The drive will stay up overnight and doesn't creep down. Now that the drive moves down 1/3 of the way and then stops is better than where I was a few weeks ago. I'll look into...

    Checking In From SC

Haha Thanks paddles! It was always great to hear a familiar voice on the other end of the radio during those dark pitching deck nights. Lots of respect for you guys on the platform.

    Alpha1 Trim won't trim down?

Alright, after being TAD or on det for about 10 weeks of this year already....I finally got home and got a chance to troubleshoot my trim issue a little more. I installed a new "down" solenoid and cleaned all the contacts. The pump is putting out fluid when "down" is selected which was checked...

    Checking In From SC

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here is a shot of my "other" boat...Sad to say she is no longer in the fleet after 50+ years of service.

    Checking In From SC

I've been lurking around for quite some time. Started to post up some stuff in the maintenance room and figure I need to post up in here as well. Currently have a 2007 220 Select and out of the Lady's Island, SC area. This will be my first summer stateside in almost three years so I'm looking...
