here is how I can best explain what's happening and why there are two different size nuts. After the prop is placed on the shaft and the key is in, the thin nut goes on and is tightened to hold on the prop. now the fat nut is put on and tightened down tight. when the fat nut is tightened it...
if you have decided to get out of boating then the faster you do it the better you are. you may have to just cut your loses and make your boat the cheapest on the market. It will then be the first to go. There is always a buyer for the " right " price. That price may be far lower then you...
i can't speak for the boat you are buying, but I spent alot of time on that model and loved it. cat 3208's moved very nicely. Very comfortable. spend lots of money for the best survey you can get, it will pay off
i used a heat gun and a plastic spackle blade. if you can control the heat , not too hot you can get a good run and it does not take too long. if the heat is too high the vinyl breaks down and comes off in small pieces. by the time you get all the lettering off you will get the hang of it...

This is a picture i took of a SEA Tow boat being used as a taxi at the Tobay Beach boat show. It was a 24' with 32 poeple on board. He was taking the passengers back to their boats that were anchored in the bay. i think he broke a few rules.
I think they are more stable then they feel. I took a 12' with a 15 merc. 8 miles off shore just to see if there was any blue fish being caught. it was a good day, no problem. I also flipped an Achilles over right at the dock, but beer was involved.
