    Old Standard Horizon VHF parts

I'm looking for a volume control knob for a late 1990s era Standard Horizon Nova VHF. The part number is 496C154050 but Yaesu / Standard doesn't stock it any more... they were very gracious when I called but I have a feeling they were stifling laughter that I'm keeping such an old radio in...

    Late 90's 270 Sundancer Thread

Yes it's those four screws. It might be a tight squeeze but you should be able to get them all out with a regular Phillips driver. Once you do, the amp is right behind that panel. You may also need to remove the door latch in order to pull the panel out. Two more small silver screws on the aft...

A/C pump cracked over the winter... boatyard's fault?

My 270 Sundancer finally launched today after a long winter. While I was inspecting it, I noticed the bilge pump running an awful lot. Well it turns out there was a steady stream of water coming out of the side of the raw water pump for the air conditioner. It looks like the plastic cracked due...

    AC Converter Recommendations

Shiny new 1220P is sitting on my bench. Might get to install it this weekend if the rain ever lets up. Something about electrical work during a thunderstorm feels wrong :wow: It hummed for about 3 seconds and then popped the fuse. Don't know how its musical talents were previous to that as I...

    Replacement lens for transom/cockpit lights?

$8 at Overton's, their item number 81772. Perko part number 0946DP099A. Not cheap for a plastic part, but it's for a boat, what do you expect

    Perk #70-0 LED Bulb?

I had the 70-0 festoon lamps in my Perko cockpit lights as well. They are 42 mm end-to-end. I replaced them with a 37 MM cool white LED part number MCF376BS30DCW. They are not marine grade, and not the right size, but they look great and were only $1.50 each from newark.

    No Arch lighting solution

Very cool. I've got tons of spare LED strip lights that I picked up cheaply off ebay, so I would just need to get a hold of a battery. The strips I have are designed for 12V, but I find them a little bright at that voltage and I've been running them off of 9V.

    AC Converter Recommendations

I also have a '98 270, and I think I have the same problem. Was yours blowing the AC-side fuse (the one on the left side of the charger)? Having twin engines, I've got 3 battery banks so I'm debating whether to step up to a 30A ProNautic or just match the 20A that came as original equipment.

    Mid-90's 270 Sundancer Thread

Congratulations on your new Sea Ray. I don't know if you have the same bipin halogen reading lights I do on my 270DA, but these are the replacements I used. Part number G4-WW2W-CTAC in warm white...

Gas gauge unreliable… how much do I have

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. It did gurgle before gas sprayed out of the fill inlet-- sounded similar to a car gas tank getting full. I was caught completely off-guard because I thought it would take another 50 gallons so I didn't notice where the sound came from. I agree. I was happy...

Gas gauge unreliable… how much do I have

Just bought a Sundancer, 1998 but new to me. When I bought her the gauge showed 1/4 tank. I went to fill up and, not paying attention, the gas overflows after less than 10 gallons. So my first thought is that the tank is full and the gauge is broken. I read a few threads, particularly Strd fuel...
