Anyone install underwater LEDs on a Sundancer? What kind did you use?

I have installed a pair of thru hull Ocean LED model 1520 LED lights. They are on the pricy side for underwater lights, but they do look real nice. I prefer the thru hull since its all bronze. The cheaper amphibians they sell make me even more nervous since you need to drill a small home thru...

Help - Sea Ray 340 - Loose underwater exhaust brass fitting

Anyone can give me more details on the way the underwater Exchaust outlet flange (Brass) is installed? Not sure where I can find a diagram and description as I don't think its on the parts menu. I have not managed to find more info online so far. I am trying to determine if the flange is...

Help - Sea Ray 340 - Loose underwater exhaust brass fitting

Its not very loose, just some freeplay when moved. Anyone have experience with similar issue? 1) Does the flange require 5200 and a water tight seal to the hull? 2) Can I just try to secure the screws and nuts - 2 person job as 1 in bilge and 1 in water. 3) Is there a concern for water...

Help - Sea Ray 340 - Loose underwater exhaust brass fitting

I checked and there seems to be some gunk on the screws that are in the bilge. I dont see any water leaks in the bilge at the moment. Does anyone know how the underwater brass flange is fitted? Do they use 5200 or is it just bolted (4 screws/nuts) to the bottom hull? I don't see any leaks...

Error Code #44 - Knock sensor cannot detect Knock

My alarm is fixed. I pulled both connectors off the KS and sprayed both contacts with electronics cleaner. I then reinstalled the connector. The alarm went away after that. :) I am very happy with that and very greatful for everyone's help, especially Dave who sent me a lot of info. :smt038...

    Alarm

I just resolved an alarm issue, and it was due to a bad connection to the knock sensor. I would suggest trying to find someone with a scan tool to see what the alarm is going off.

Help - Sea Ray 340 - Loose underwater exhaust brass fitting

I was swimming today and when I was cleaning the underwater components of my boat, I noted that the brass exhaust was loose as it was rattling when I was holding on to it. I checked with a screwdriver and one of the screws spins freely. I think it may need to be tightened with both underwater...

Error Code #44 - Knock sensor cannot detect Knock

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will check out my knock sensor and update. i read the service manual and it mentions the knock sensors are very sensitive and require 14-16 pounds of torque or it will not work correctly. Anyone has experience with this? From what I understand, just a...

Error Code #44 - Knock sensor cannot detect Knock

From what I read, this Error #44 is not relating to knock detected. Its related to the ECM not being able to detect knock. Is there special care and torque wrench required to remove and replace the knock sensor? Also, is there 2 knock sensors on my engine 2000 454 7.4 MPI. This is the...

Error Code #44 - Knock sensor cannot detect Knock

Does the ECM check the knock sensor circuit at startup? Strange thing is I only get this alarm after a few mins of cruising above 3000 RPM on plane.

Error Code #44 - Knock sensor cannot detect Knock

I just scanned my ECM and found this error code. I cleared the code and ran the boat and the alarm goes off again. My engine alarm goes off after a few minutes of going on plane above 3000 RPM. This is a new problem that just came up a few weeks ago. The engine runs well when the alarm is off...

    Removing spec in fuel guage

I noted that some of the white color glow in the dark film has come off the needle and now sitting on the glass of my fuel guage. Is there anyway to open up the guage to remove the speck? Thanks
