Sold my fishing boat and got a 2007 175 sport for the family... Still want to take it fishing but not sure where to mount rod holders? Is drilling mandatory or are there some other types of rod holders that I could potentially use? Thanks in advance

Thanks for that. I did order the SS version and installed them last week. Took the boat out last weekend and couldn't believe how much of a difference they made! No bow rise and the boat felt so much more stable, especially during sharp turns and when riding through other boats' wakes.

Anybody? Noone has smart tabs on their 175?

Hey guys, I'm looking to install some smart tabs on my 175 sport. I came across a document on the Nauticus website that says to not install the SX tabs on boats where the trim plate hinge and transom bracket can't be installed on the same plane (aka my boat)...

Is it worthless to fit a mercruiser 3.0 with a SS prop? Been doing some reading and it seems like there's mixed opinions. Does anyone on here have a SS prop on a 3.0 and do you recommend it or not? Boat is a 2006 175 sport. Thanks in advance!

Still having issues with the tachometer though... going to compare the boat's tach with a shop tach to see how off it is. It's better than it was after I turned the dial on the back a few times but it still doesn't seem accurate. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement tach for my 175?

Just an update on my issues... turned out to be the carb. Rebuilt it and boat seems to be running fine on the muffs now, hopefully I can take her out this weekend!

Thank you so much for the info. Do I use any sealant or tape where the anti-siphon valve meets the fuel tank? Do I need to remove the carb to spray it down or can I just remove the flame arrestor and spray it down there? Do I just let it air dry for a while before trying to start motor? I'll...

Thanks for the reply. Do you know the size of the anti-siphon valve? 3/8 NPT x 3/8 barb? or 1/4 NPT x 3/8 barb? My motor is 135hp, can I still use an aluminum valve or do I have to use brass? Also do you know where the fuel tank vent is located?
