Use a dremmel to clean the gouge out don't wipe the dust out just blow it out so you don't grind any dirt into the gouge the spectrum paste is good in it's place. sounds like your on the right track. Mike

This is why the platform pic's took so long. As you can see the boat was a long way from being ready for a platform.

They seem to like it. Putting it back in the water tomorrow after some pretty extensive repairs.

Very soon plug almost complete. The boat thats getting the first one is also having some extensive repair work done. It was tied up next to a boat that burned & it got some serious heat damage so the boat and platform are being worked at the same time.

They need a couple cannons hanging from it.

To avoid any other confusion on this subject here is a pic of the stock platform. the 14 in is added between the ladder opening and the boat. I'm sure the platforms that bolt on to a boat with a flat transom can be built at home and look and perform perfectly. This is not the case however with...

When I posted about the platform I was thinking more along the lines of replacing a damaged platform. It mounts as does the oem It fits into the cutout on the back of the boat. it don't fit all 290's just the 1998 to 2001 Sundancer. I will post pics as soon as I can. Thanks Mike Farmer

Looking for 2 gold sea ray emblems. And the plastic cover under the radar arch on a 1998 290 Sundancer. I have the left cover the right one is damaged bad. If I can get one I will build a set of molds and make them out of fiberglass not plastic. Mike
