Thanks for the Startron tip. I'm still learning.

    Dieseling Engine

Thanks. Off the top of my head, I think it's idling under normal, non-tubing conditions @ 800, but I'll check.

    Dieseling Engine

Thanks. It only seems to happen when I pull the family on a tube, then shut it down to retrieve them. Maybe the added strain is causing the engine temp to reach a dieselling point? Hot enough for you in the Queen City? We're getting scalded over here near Washington.

    Dieseling Engine

I appreciate your response. I've been using 89 Octane, simply because the previous owner said that the boat seemed to run better with it. Thanks. (If gas prices get any higher, I'll have to give up eating!)

I've been adding StaBil in the amount recommended on the bottle. Do you suggest something different? I'll try the Quickleen. Thanks.

    Dieseling Engine

Looking for a depth finder for an 04 185 Sport I/O.

I'm new to this. Everyone says I need a depthfinder, but which one? My dash has a blank for one, but again, which one? Gottalotta river and creek environment with stumps and sandbars. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Looking at a Sea Ray

    Looking at a Sea Ray

I'm getting real close to buying not only my first Sea Ray, but my first boat. I'm looking at an '04 Sport 185 I/O. The versatility appeals to me, and my boating friends all tell me that I can't go wrong with Sea Ray or the 4.3 L motor. Looking forward to becoming part of "the family"!
