I have had both an 8'6" beam and an 11' beam on Lake Erie where water can be very hazardous since the the waves are close together and can come up quick. Without a doubt the wider beam will be well worth it if you are in an area where bad water can come quickly, as in Lake Erie. The wider beam...
Looking for engine harness for 1989 SR 300 Sundancer with 5.7 Alpha 1 Mercruisers. Need full harness or at least the last 4' of harness including the cannon connector from the dash to the cannon connector on top of the engine.
Thanks for the tip...I had already done that earlier in the year, thinking that would take care of the problem...it didn't. I am thinking of replacing about the last three feet of harness before it gets to the connector...I have a feeling that I may have a broken wire in the harness, or perhaps...
I have a 300 Sundancer with twin 5.7 on the North Coast ( Lake Erie). For winterizing , I just make sure that the pink antifreeze is all they way through the system and the engine was warm enough so the thermostat was open. I then spary some fogging oil in the carbs bit by bit so internal parts...
I have an 89 Sundancer 300 with twin 5.7 Mercs. The engine harness on the starboard side is essentially connected to the engine with a Cannon connector ( like a large plug in) located at the top of the engine. Recently, it cuts out the engine. If I move the cannon harness a bit the connection is...
Re: 1987 340 Express Cruiser
You will like the 340....asto things to look out for: Leaking windows..check headliner for stains. The 340 did have a problem with moisture in the transom and usually the first two stringers forward. Get a Survey...absolutely the best investment you can make...
Easy to replace a Norcold, but not cheap, but as an option, I use a portable Engel refridgerator /freezer. The good ones work great and run on 12V or 110V. We use ours a lot as an extra. They run about $650, but are very quiet and reliable. They hold about 30 cans of soda to give you an idea of...
Just noticed the "post new Thread'..Bought an 89 SeaRay 300DA a few weeks ago. Less than 400 hours and in great condition in an out. Really enjoying it so far, despite the fuel price.
Dock at Battery Park, Sandusky on Lake Erie.
Great site!
I have a Lowrance iFinder Expedition C. Great color screen TFT. Plenty on E-Bay that are reasonable. Easy to use and easy to see even in bright light. Definitely worth a look.
Just got my first Sea Ray (1989 Sundancer 300). This must be the driest Sea Ray I have come across. No moisture intrusion and no leaks....go figure! The original owner was meticulous and had a full cover (pulpit to transom)...maybe thats why it is so dry. Only 400 hours..so it wasn't used...
