Found the little 2 page brochure....now if I could find the owners manual! Thanks, didn't realize they listed it as DA.
I searched the prop to death when I had her trailer. Nothing anywhere. Even had my father in law check it incase I was having a case of stupids.
That was gps speed...before I put the boat in the water I checked the prop and it was not marked. My biggest issue right now if the crap growing on the bottom. I bet I have 150lbs of barnicals. I trim watching the rpms and gps speed...looking for the spot were i get lower rpms and more speed...
Sorry, forgot to say I think I paid $170 for the sensor. Its great, instant reading on what the engine is drinking, plus tells you how much fuel is left.
thanks, i guessed 40g when I set the fuel flow up...juat to be safe. I got it from WM, ties into the garmin via the nea.system. Took longer to the pull the cord from engone bay then it did to install the flow sensor. I added a fusion radio that I tied into the garmin as well so I have full...
Well today I realized my boat is not a Weekender but a Sundancer due to having an aft "cabin"... IE Batcave.
I have spent the summer doing some upgrades and add the Garmin Fuel usage sensor...now the fun part... whats the gallons on a stock tank? I cant find a manual or anything else that...
that would be nice. i had to use tabs to get on plane and then brought them up a little amd did a little motor trim to stay level amd drop rpms. I know the book calls for a 15.25 x 15 prop but dang...try and find one. I would even settle for a 15x16.
sadly, no prop shop nesr me....mostly sail boats and a ton of bass boats but there is a good overall boat repair shop I will stop in and talk to. thanks for the tip on the tach. I will try and get to thr back of her and check.
trim tabs work. i juat replaced the HPU and tested them before going into the water. motor trim works as well.
i keep focusing on the prop because the guy had 4 boats...so if he damaged the prop he probably would have grabbed an old one from another boat. Its SS so I know its not original as I...
I tried to confirm prop when I had her on trailer but couldnt locate numbers. I didnt run her across the scales so weight is unknown. MPH was based off the Garmin GPS so it should be accurate.
How do I confirm my outdrive ratio?
i bought the boat about 2 months ago...trailered her home and cleaned her. Bottom is clean. Engine runs smooth, fuel filter is new. Trim tabs work and tab pump replaced. boat had 4 adults and a 4yr old on board....life vests, and a small cooler so weight wasnt an issue. Also, 3/4 full fuel amd...
so I finally had a nice day to get her out and run her after the throttle cable failed on my maiden. I think the previous owner switched props but put on the wrong prop.
I am spinning 4400rpms at 20mph (gps) and thats a little shy of full throttle. I am running 3300 rpm at 10mph. i never made...
i didnt do a survey...so new trim tab pump, throttle cable, battery selector, new vhf radio, rebuilt flip down bench later I am finally in the water....wish i had done a survey. Could have worked on lowering the price
