    Need to re-power 7.4l efi

Disappointed would be an understatement! I would be seriously pissed off if I had to repower my Express with those kind of hours. I would think they would go for a few thousand hours with the right maintenance.

    Need to re-power 7.4l efi

Sounds like a good plan! My Express has a bit over 600 hours on the 7.4L MPFI engines. New long blocks would be what I would do.

2005 Sea Ray 290 Amberjack - great boat and ready to cruise & fish

I think Curtiss was asking me about my Express because I posted in this thread. If he wants to take his question to me over to the thread below: http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php/72750-Official-330-Express-Cruiser-340-Amberjack-1997-2003-Thread I'll be happy to discuss my boat. Otherwise...

    Official 330 Express Cruiser / 340 Amberjack 1997-2003 Thread

I am familiar with the panel under the helm and the push-button breakers there. After spending some more time poking around under that area I found three 8-gauge wires cut and taped off. They have the small wire labels on them that indicate they come from the Main DC breaker panel under the...

    Official 330 Express Cruiser / 340 Amberjack 1997-2003 Thread

I have an electrical question I hope someone can answer. On my '97 330 Express Cruiser under the cabin steps I have a DC Main Beaker Panel. There are three 50 amp breakers labeled "control station", "cabin main" and "electronics". I know where the wires go for the control station and cabin...

2005 Sea Ray 290 Amberjack - great boat and ready to cruise & fish

Agreed! But, it looked to me like the Broker was more interested in promoting his business than your boat.

    Original Build

I managed to trace the end of the transducer cable today and found a 7-pin connector. So, I'm making progress.

    Original Build

I have not yet found a tag on the Airmar B44 transducer cable so I don't know if it was originally installed on a B&G or a Raymarine data instrument. Could have been either one. If I knew what was installed originally I would know if I could reuse that transducer.

    Original Build

Is there a way to contact Sea Ray and find out exactly what electronics were installed when my 1997 330 Express was built? I have a Airmar B44 transducer on the port side that looks original. I am wondering what fishfinder or instrument it was originally connected to. Neal

Wanted: Actuator motor for winshield vent

Agreed. Sounds like one to move some serious weight, not open & close the vent window. I have learned a long time ago that it often doesn't pay to try to go cheap on certain things. Neal

Wanted: Actuator motor for winshield vent

Frank, Thank you for the details. I will remove the actuator this week and take some measurements. The motor is dead, so I cannot power cycle it, but I'm sure I can determine the length of the stroke by measuring the actuator and how far the window opens. Neal

Wanted: Actuator motor for winshield vent

Thanks Frank and the other gentlemen! Do you remember the specs on the PA-14 you bought. Looks like there are options for Stroke, Force, and Speed.
