yes i did have a 17 pitch prop with 4900 rpms and it only did 30 mph so i moved up to 19 pitch and i gained 5 mph at 4200 rpms. but i've been told i should be running at least 45 mph, and it runs good not missing a beat

its a sorrento s-24 and it has a 260 hp i/o mercruiser i've tried carbs and it doesn't seem to be getting the rpms and i'm using gps and my speedo and the speedo is pretty accurate going by the gps

i have a 1987 sea ray sorrento i've redone the whole boat and all. new motor and carb and i can't seem to get the boat over 35 mph, and i have a 19 pitch prop on it and thats at about 4200 rpms. any help please, cause i know the boat should be going way faster than that!! anyone with the same...
