480 DB Owners Club

Steve,
Where did you purchase the Summit Drawer Refrig & Freezer. I have a 2006 52 and would like to replace with drawer units.
Thanks,
Rob

Switch the sensor from one engine to the other and see if it occurs on the other tranny.

Where do you 480DB owners store the main deck sun pads when not in use?

So Sea Ray doesn't actually have a "hiding" spot for the main deck sun pads?

When we purchased our 2002 480DB, it didn't come with a screen door. Does anyone know of a source for screen doors that would match the stainless salon door? We moved the boat to Michigan and would REALLY love to have a screen to keep the Mayflies and other bugs out.

Thanks 480DB team!!

Deuce - contact Taylormade at 518-773-0636 and speak to their customer service. They made the door and screen on the 58 and were a big help to me when one roller came off the track...

Thanks! I called them and they'll be happy to make a brand new door for me. Unfortunately the price would reach ~ $1800.00 total. But that does include setup fees and shipping. I've started saving my pennies. If I stay off plane this entire season, I should be able to spring for it this fall.

Re: Twin Disc MG5114A oil temperature warning

Made it to the boat and resolved the issue by simply disconnecting the sensor wire, cleaning what I could with a q-tip, and reconnecting it. The connector is about 8 inches from the sensor and goes to the Electronic Control Module. In essence, I jiggled the wires as suggested.

THANK YOU for the help 480DB team!

Bow sun pad rail leak. Last week I noticed my port side sun pad rail moved when pulled against slightly. I called Sea Ray and was advised how to dismantle the forward cabin ceiling. They also advised that there should be a lot of "Christmas trees" holding the panels in place....well they were all screwed. Overall, everything came down without any problems. I have lots of pictures if anyone ever. Reds to get up in there.

Does anyone know the BTU size of the salon AC - is it 16k? And any experience replacing - a go-to for buying?

Also does anyone know where to look if the cockpit lights go out? - the PO added some led lighting to the cockpit that I believe has eventually overloaded the circuit, just the lower cockpit lights and storage/well/garage lights are out.. is there a factory breaker/fuse?

Thanks

The salon unit is 24k BTU. Crusair's new unit is 27k BTU but the unit for the 480DB salon is custom with the blower on the opposite side. I was told this by Annapolis Crusair and quoted $3800+! It would have been about 1/2 the price if it was a stock configuration. Needless to say I chose to repair mine as I've heard lots of stories about the newer Crusair units failing early.

Check out marinaire out of Florida. I installed one is our last boat and loved it. But based on QT's comments, you would want to verify blower location and see if they have a solution once verified.

mquiet, Which AC unit and BTU size did you replace? Did yours have the gauges on top like I see on the website.

BTW what did you think of that pic I sent you. I'll post it here to send people in SHOCK!!!

They are building a new 7-Eleven near where I work. They're not open yet and just finished putting the sign up guess they were having some fun with it. Hope to never see it that high
