Yikes.......$104 a Barrel !!!!!

Wasn't that what they said in the late 70's when everyone was standing in line to get gas? then a short time later everyone was standing in line to buy a hummer.

Oh yeah, forgot about the impending ice age that was supposed to happen too.

I have a blow boat. . . it was underutilized the last two years. I suspect it may see more action this year. . .

That's only because your 280 is dirty and you don't want to wash it.

Got a call from a friend who has his boat at Marco Island, FL for the winter. The only diesel pump on the island had fuel for the low low price of......get ready for it.... $5.60/gal. Gotta agree with Dave....start drilling, who cares about some stupid caribou that I will never see anyway! And I understand they are not very tasty as well.
Actually, if you've never had caribou I can honestly tell you that it is by far tastier than the best beef I have ever had.

Forget about the arctic, where is all the freekin oil from Iraq? :smt017 We should be loading up a tanker fleet there every day. Where the hell are they putting it all? AND we should be getting it at $10 a barrel. Talk about mismanaging the war! :smt021

Now that's serendipity! Hunt the caribou and drill for oil all at the same time and in the same place!

Nice!

Frank C

Drill up north and offshore, take the oil from Iraq, all of it. Cut our dependency on opec.

I'm still not worried. It's still heating season, which keeps the demand up for heating oil that the refineries need to supply. Diesel prices will duck under gas during spring. Some time around mid summer :( prices will start to decline as the commodities market tries to take some profit and head off a beating. With the economic slowdown, other investments will be more attractive and the traders will move their dollars out of oil and into something else.

Best regards,
Frank C.

P.S.
But I still want my caribou steaks.

I hope you are right and history repeats. Hillary will take all the credit for it next year.:smt013

You USA guys prepare for the future...
I think a barrel never comes under $100 again.

We pay for gas $8,68 a gallon and for diesel $6,85 in the Netherlands.

And I am still a happy boater and like to burn oil, because it's my life....

"You USA guys prepare for the future..."

Peter, Amen to that.

The prices on the waterside are even more higher.

That's why I use the Flo 'n go from Duramax.

Works great, every time I go to the boat I bring 14Gallons.
It keeps my tanks full also!

Our marina will not allow any fueling in the slips, fuel dock only. strictly enforced.

And be thankful for that. There was one bozo, a cop of course, who thought he was smarter than everyone else and that the rules didn't apply to him. He filled his 26' from portable containers. And at the same time spilled gas on the dock and in the water. He did this at night so the management didn't see it, but everyone turned him in because his neighbors didn't want him burning up their boats.

Best regards,
Frank
