Did I just get called a "chicken s&@t"?

Did you just post without the CSR SeaRay being fixed :)

Gary I think I continue reading this web site because you make me laugh my a$$ off.
I love the scarcasm, and the dry humor. Thanks for the posts.
You are my hero! Mike P.
I'll also admit I learn alot about my boat from the knowledge on this board.

Gary is the spice this site needs for sure. Now that's funny Sh*t right there

I read that very informative article on how to take a trailer boat across the gulf stream and I was obviously wrong and stand corrected.

There you go all you nay sayers and chicken s*&@#! It can be done safely and actually fun if all the proper precautions are taken. Yes there is a possibility of the unthinkable, but sometimes you'll have to take a educated chance if your going to enjoy all this life has to offer. If you find your among the ones who can't then stayed tied up to the pier. Just stop placing your fears upon thoes who live life to it's fullest. Mike P.

I believe in natural selection.

Although the article clearly shows it can be done I don't think I would do it on my own I'd feel much better about going with a group of others.

Ah Gary, that's not like you. I can't believe your backing down. Hey wait...your not just being facetious maybe? Yea well I've read about you big boat guys. Ha, Mike P.

I believe in natural selection.

So do I. Ya know you can get struck by lighting at the dock to. Or maybe a mad man walks into the mall and starts plucking away. Or maybe you've had one to many and a bus pulls out in front of you. Or maybe.........

I'll guess you get my meaning, probably not.

If they were "50 miles south of Key West" I sure hope they were not on their way to the Bahamas. Second item, this is not the time of year to be crossing the gulf stream in a smaller boat. (Grin)

Guess that proves the point previously made, huh?
Never made the crossing, but I often wish I lived on the right coast instead of the left so I could. Had a friend who kept his boat in the Exumas, though and have heard about the changing conditions.
You need IDEAL conditions for a boat that size. You may make it across fine, but you may not make it back any time soon if conditions deteriorate to anything less then perfect.

Maybe in a seaworthy CC, never in a bowrider. They're NOT offshore boats.

Amen, now this thread may dead! Those pictures say it all, do what you will.

In the interest of keeping this lovely thread alive... does the Coast Guard send a bill to people like this?

They should.

I have to agree with you. That was just plain stupid. Makes you wonder if they even checked the weather before they left port or knew where they were going???
