... Great like I don't have anything else to deal with right now!!! One of them asked if I have a current weather report and if I knew there was a strong storm on it's way, I told him I was traking it on radar and my intention was to head West and out run it, as it was comming up from the South West heading North East, this was not enough for them to abort there inspection. They spent about 10 minutes on board, did there thing and then finally left (we did pass with flying colors!). Upon them leaving I was able to return to my inspection of my Port engine (sea strainer, expension tank, belt, and hoses), everything looked good so I started the motor, checked for water flow, and it was pumping just fine. I then raised the idle RPM's up to 1500 for 3 minutes and the temp was rock solid @170.... We took off heading back to Long Island Sound and the engine temp stayed solid the whole way!:smt038 The only thing I can figure is maybe we picked up a plastic bag or a cluster of seaweed over the intake and it cleared when we shut it down???
