In our 310Da. I went with a garmin 934xsv because of the dash setup and being a V drv. I mounted it by my right knee below the throttle levers. It took me about awhile to figure out everything and get the display the way I wanted it. With The 340Da I went with a Garmin 1042xsv and mounted it in the original location. The touchscreen on the 943 was cool sitting in the marina but on a bumpy day on the lake not so much. Our first trip out on an open lake the chartplotter was set to the flat earth option almost drove the boat off the screen before I thought I figured it out. Not sure how I did it but I got the screen reading south up which is really hard to look at with the boat facing the bottom of the screen . Now the lake was empty when I was poking at the plotter while I was under way with my buddy watching our heading. Finally found the display setting in the menu under chartplotter display and got it to read Heads up. Call me old school but not a fan of Garmins method of the manual being online never can find what I'm looking for or figuring out the correct wording to use the QA section. But both my buddy and I had a good laugh when the screen orientation was all screwed up.
