Porsche 911 vs. C8 Corvette

I vote for the 911. ;)

2013 C4S....... drive it like I stole it.

The only parts I have a hard time finding sometimes.

Sell em both and get a fully restored ‘69 LS swapped convertible Corvette with upgraded suspension. Now you will get excited to drive your toy. AND you can brag to the wife how you just bought an old used Chevy instead!!!

Agreed. The right C2 or C3 is a better investment long term and a more visceral driving experience than either.

I like the C8...lots of bang for the buck but the last true Corvette was built in '82.

It's not clear to me what your original plan was, 2 cars or 1? But, if it were me I'd walk away from the Vet/Dealer. I am too impatient for one and it's not worth MSRP to me. I also like to restore and modify my toys, so new has never been an option/choice for me.

I think the Porsche vs Vette discussion is getting close to the Ford vs Chevy one. Strong supporters on both sides with little chance of changing one sides mind.

I don't know about the C8 but I do know that the C7 Z06 suffered with extreme overheating when run hard on a track and would go into limp mode within a few laps. I think I heard this issue was addressed in the C8.

My buddy waited a long time for his C8 and it’s everything he’d hoped the car is beautiful and I drove it. Me? Flip one of them !! I was going to flip my Bronco but after getting it I decided to keep it.. ps MSRP is the norm nowadays I was lucky to pay that.

Just a smidge more than the camaro :)
;) I knew the price.... Just havin' fun with you. Grew up in the Motor City area and I have an original Big 3 bias in my blood. I'll never get rid of it. My truck was built in Dearborn and the Camaro was built in Lansing by a lot of 3rd and 4th generation Ford and GM employees. Nothing wrong with German engineering and if I was independently wealthy I'd have a couple of European hot rods taking up space in my dream 10 car garage.

The Porsche production GT cars get better, quicker and faster every year it seems. It it amazing how fast 516 HP cars can run. The 2023 GT3 RS at 516HP is just a second slower around the ring than the 700 HP version. The speed is derived from the design of the chassis and the wing along with underbody widgets instead of HP. The new GTC RS is so well designed that an experienced non professional driver can achieve laps speeds that were unimaginable a few years ago due to the the down force created by the aerodynamic bells and whistles. More than 2000 pounds of downforce and good OEM tires make the car go through turns at unbelievably high speeds with little drifting. One driver said the G forces are enough to move your nipples to the same side of your body. Talk about a visceral driving experience………..
