He stripped it to the frame for paint, repaired / upgraded transmission, engine, you name it...... even built the wiring harness himself!
It will pin you back in the seat for sure.Drool!
That car rips I'm sure!!
Sweet...... Now, sneek a couple turbos under the hood and scare the daylights out of you and any passenger you have.View attachment 133057 View attachment 133058 View attachment 133059 2019 C7 ~5k miles Grandsport LT 2
My son's 2015 C7 Stingray has enough under the hood to scare me and anyone brave enough to ride with me. I ran it up to 145 MPH Friday and got there in a hurry. No turbos needed.Sweet...... Now, sneek a couple turbos under the hood and scare the daylights out of you and any passenger you have.
Did 180 on a ride along at Daytona. Could've drank coffee it was so smooth. Yawn... 177 on a ZX14....thrilling. Sit on the line, hold the trans brake, mat it, release the trans brake button....kind of violent. I've always had the need for speed. My son's 2015 C7 Stingray has enough under the hood to scare me and anyone brave enough to ride with me. I ran it up to 145 MPH Friday and got there in a hurry. I agree. I let it get away from me a bit. I don't know what speed the computer limits it to, but if I go 145 or more again it will only be on the back stretch of a track.I usually chicken out around 130ish. C7 can go faster than I care to go.
I've never drag raced. But I did do the Richard Petty driving experience. I hit 165 of the back stretch, I know because the car wouldn't go any faster and that's what they're limited to. That was fun. My buddy that did it with me took a bad line into turns 1 and 2 and almost put it into the wall. Scared the shit out of him and he didn't really get on the throttle again.Did 180 on a ride along at Daytona. Could've drank coffee it was so smooth. Yawn... 177 on a ZX14....thrilling. I seem to recall the Z51's are speed limited to 186, although some brave (or foolish) souls, remove it with a tuner.I agree. I let it get away from me a bit. I don't know what speed the computer limits it to, but if I go 145 or more again it will only be on the back stretch of a track.
I remember as a stupid college kid taking my Dad's 1966 Ferrari 275 GTS to 145 in 3rd gear - back end still squatted down, two more gears to go - and I WISELY chickened out!I usually chicken out around 130ish. C7 can go faster than I care to go.
Speaking of Ferraris.... Yep, speed kills.I remember as a stupid college kid taking my Dad's 1966 Ferrari 275 GTS to 145 in 3rd gear - back end still squatted down, two more gears to go - and I WISELY chickened out!
I think they only made ~180 of them - 3.3 liter V12 with (only) 260 HP. I don't know how they did it, but my goodness, it sounded great. I wish I had it today!
